ChatGPT has shifted a gear in the world of artificial intelligence and opened up a whole new universe for future endeavors. Every news about it holds a huge importance for us as it might shape our future as more people will be interested in the field. Currently, ChatGPT 4 release date has one of the highest seeds on the most-searched board, and we might have an answer for you.
ChatGPT 4 release date
Questions regarding the ChatGPT 4 and the future of AI were answered by CEO Sam Altman in a podcast interview. In the podcast, the interviewer asked about the ChatGPT 4 release date, and Altman said:
“It’ll come out at some point when we are confident that we can do it safely and responsibly. I think in general we are going to release technology much more slowly than people would like. We’re going to sit on it much longer than people would like. And eventually, people will be like happy with our approach to this. But at the time I realized like people want the shiny toy and it’s frustrating and I totally get that.”
This means that the release date is still not official, and OpenAI will take its time to announce its new innovation.
Will ChatGPT 4 be multimodal?
According to Altman, the new multimodal model is going to be announced in the near future. It means that apart from texts, it will be able to function in different aspects, including images and sounds. For now, ChatGPT only communicates, functions, or interacts through texts. The new multimodal technology will feature more opportunities to be used to get help from AI. He didn’t specify if it would be announced alongside GPT -4.
“I think we’ll get multimodal models in not that much longer, and that’ll open up new things. I think people are doing amazing work with agents that can use computers to do things for you, use programs and this idea of a language interface where you say a natural language – what you want in this kind of dialogue back and forth. You can iterate and refine it, and the computer just does it for you. You see some of this with DALL-E and CoPilot in very early ways.”
-OpenAI CEO Sam Altman
Even though he didn’t mention that the new multimodal function will be out with ChatGPT 4, it is expected to be released soon. This will be even more helpful for humanity.
