Apple has just launched iOS 16.3, which is the third big update to the iOS 16 operating system that was initially released in September. This update is being released over a month after the release of iOS 16.2, which introduced new features such as the Freeform app, Apple Music Sing, Advanced Data Protection, and others.

Apple iOS 16.3 update: How to install?

Users can download iOS 16.3 on compatible iPhones and iPads through the over-the-air method by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update. Due to high demand, it may take some time for the updates to become available to all users. Additionally, Apple has also released iOS 15.7.3 for users with older iPhone devices, which includes security enhancements.

The new update has brought in Security Keys for Apple ID, which allows for physical two-factor authentication instead of the digital two-factor authentication that was used for Apple ID logins. Additionally, there is a new Unity wallpaper available, as well as support for the 2nd generation HomePod.

Apple has made changes to the Emergency SOS feature to avoid unintentional emergency calls. The feature can still be activated by holding down the side button with either the volume up or down button, but a call will only be made once the buttons are released.

The full release notes of the update are available below:
