The latest Fontaine leaks revealed new characters from Genshin Impact version 4.0. Let’s dive into details together!

The Genshin Impact community has been inundated with eight new character leaks weeks before the 3.4 update’s release. The majority of the characters are reported to be from Fontaine, the next destination of the Traveler. The arrival of the new region is not anticipated until at least Genshin Impact 4.0. At this moment, though, enough material has spilled that the community is in a frenzy interpreting it all. Here is all the information we have regarding the Fontaine leaks.

Fontaine leaks: Where did the leaks come from?

The latest batch of rumors includes multiple leaks. According to social media posts, the character models were leaked by a user called M9G. M9G has indicated on Twitter that the leaks originated from various sources.

It’s important to note that the Fontaine leaks, specifically, do not come from trusted sources within the community (such as Ubatcha, Celestia, Blank, etc.). Additionally, there are other conflicting pieces of information, like the existence of two Hydro Archons, which make the Fontaine leaks even more confusing.

Uncle Gandhi, also known as Chinese leaker hxg, shared Fontaine leaks containing information about the remaining 5-star characters prior to Genshin Impact’s 4.0 update and details about the Fatui Harbingers following the update. One notable reveal was a new character called “Yaoguang,” which should not be confused with the Yaoguang Shoal location in Liyue.

New Genshin Impact characters from the latest Fontaine leaks

As of now, seven characters that are reportedly from Fontaine and one from Liyue have been leaked. Some of these characters have been leaked or mentioned in the game before, while others are difficult to identify due to pixelation.

Unknown Hydro character

One of the most clear leaks is of a white-haired girl with elaborate clothing. Many fans believe that she is the Hydro Archon, Focalors, but her name has not been confirmed. Her appearance matches the description provided by Uncle Gandhi in their Fontaine leak, so there is at least some corroboration between the two sources of information.

Unknown blonde character

There is also clear concept art for a tall blonde female character with a similar style of clothing to the supposed Hydro Archon. There are multiple rumors about this character, including that she may be the second Hydro Archon or Chief Justice Neuvillette. There have been no leaks about her element as of yet.

Lynet and Lynette

Lynet, one of the twins featured in the Teyvat Chapter Storyline trailer, also appears to be included in the leaked character set. One of the darker images appears to show a girl with cat ears and a keyhole cutout top, which could be Lynet’s sister, Lynette. Their outfits match the clearer images seen in the trailer. It is unknown if the two characters will be separate or somehow work together as a single unit. There is currently no additional information available about them beyond their names and appearances.

Feather-hatted mystery

There is a female character with long purple hair and a feathered hat who wears short shorts. However, her face and the finer details of her outfit are not clear due to low resolution.

Most low-res of them all

Another image appears to show a female character, but the image is too pixelated to make out any distinct features. The only thing that can be clearly seen is the black, red, and white color scheme of her outfit.

Horned girl with pigtails

Another female character was seen in the latest Fontaine leaks after the first six, but M9G confirmed that she is part of the group. She is notable for the two horns on her head and pigtails with ribbons.

Fontaine leaks: “Yaoguang” is not actually the character’s name, but rather her role name within the Liyue Qixing, which is the governing body of Liyue

Yaoguang

“Yaoguang” is not actually the character’s name, but rather her role name within the Liyue Qixing, which is the governing body of Liyue. Gandhi refers to her as a “Geo support character.” Yaoguang’s real name has not been disclosed, but some believe she may be related to Yueling, another leaked character who reportedly wields the Geo element. It is rumored that Yaoguang, Dehya, and Baizhu will be the only new 5-star characters released before Genshin Impact’s 4.0 update. This aligns with the typical version numbering pattern if Dehya is released with version 3.5 and the other two characters are released in the following updates.
