The wireless PlayStation DualSense Edge controller for the PS5 from Sony has a conventional appearance. Its boomerang-shaped plastic has the proper number of buttons and room for your hands to rest there. However, given its extensive customization, it is probably why it costs $200, or nearly three times as much as the base price for the normal PS5 controller.
At least Sony isn’t concealing that. According to PlayStation spokesperson Ken Zhang, the new DualSense will have a “moderately shorter” operational time than the original PS5 controller, which has between five and 10 hours of charge.
“We’ve included many more features within the same form factor and ergonomic design as the original DualSense controller,” “Additionally, the longer USB braided cable is also great for competitive players who prefer playing with a wired connection to avoid wireless interference – this option preserves battery life.”

How to place a PlayStation DualSense Edge PS5 controller preorder?
The PlayStation Direct store is currently the only place to place a preorder for the PlayStation DualSense Edge controller. On January 26, 2023, the Playstation DualSense Edge will be officially released for $200. You need to register for a store account in order to preorder the controller through PlayStation Direct.
Beginning January 26, Sony will also provide replacement analog sticks for the DualSense Edge for $20; however, we anticipate that the PlayStation DualSense Edge’s original sticks will be strong enough to endure for some time before needing to be replaced.
On February 23, 2023, other stores will start selling the DualSense Edge and interchangeable analog sticks, according to the official PlayStation Blog.

Is PlayStation DualSense Edge worth the $200 price tag?
For those who can benefit from the competitive advantages it offers and is prepared to spend $200 to improve their gaming in games like Call of Duty, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and other shooters, the PlayStation DualSense Edge controller will be worthwhile.
The DualSense Edge’s core feature, swappable back buttons, can transform a competent player into a great one when used properly. Users can jump by pressing the back button without taking their thumbs off the analog sticks. As a result, it is possible to jump, follow an adversary, and fire at them all at once.
However, a basic PlayStation DualSense controller is probably sufficient for more casual users. It could be wise to save your money and get some other games.
We really liked the PlayStation DualSense Edge controller. With many new and customizable features, the controller is a great weapon for hardcore gamers. Announcing its new controller, it is a matter of curiosity when PlayStation will release its new console. Although we received a small leak last month, the release date of PlayStation 6 has not been announced yet.
