- Elon Musk, the new CEO of Twitter, has rehired the two well-known pranksters Ligma and Johnson in the midst of the organization’s massive layoffs.
- “Welcoming back Ligma and Johnson!” Musk said alongside a picture of the two employees as he posted the news to Twitter.
- The two deceived various media outlets as the public waited for information on whether Tesla CEO had begun terminating staff.
- Musk is so replying to Twitter trolls or people who have opposed his decision to fire Twitter staff in his most recent tweet with Ligma and Johnson.
Two despondent guys showed up outside the San Francisco headquarters of Twitter late this month, immediately following Elon Musk’s announcement that he had purchased the company and would start imposing mass layoffs. They claimed to be a member of an engineering team that had been fired while holding cardboard boxes in their hands.
Reporters were anxious to speak with the men, and CNBC reporter Deirdre Bosa interviewed them both while tweeting that “entire team of data engineers” had been let go and that “these are two of them,” that were fired.
In the midst of the company’s enormous layoffs, Musk, the new CEO of Twitter, has rehired the two well-known pranksters Rahul Ligma and Daniel Johnson. Musk shared the information on Twitter and included a photo of the two staff members with the message, “Welcoming back Ligma and Johnson!”
Elon Musk is welcoming back Ligma and Johnson
“It’s important to admit when I’m wrong, and firing them was truly one of my biggest mistakes,” the billionaire continued.

It should be noted that Ligma and Johnson are the same people who were seen leaving the Twitter office in San Francisco with one box each of their possessions. When the public was waiting for news on whether Tesla CEO had started firing employees, the pair duped several media outlets.
Musk tweeted that “Ligma and Johnson had it coming” in response to the entire hoax incident. Then, in response to the entire joke, Musk tweeted, “One of the finest trolls ever,” along with two laughing emojis.
Ligma previously claimed that he had worked for Web 2.0 and FTX, two businesses that had similarly let go of thousands of employees. However, a news source claims that Ligma hasn’t had employment with any of these businesses.
Therefore, Musk’s most recent post with Ligma and Johnson is his method of responding to Twitter trolls or those who have criticized his choice to fire Twitter staff. Separately, Musk fired workers on Tuesday who had criticized him on social media or in the business’ internal Slack chat platform.
Some of these Twitter employees claimed in public that an email stating that their “conduct has broken company policy” led to their termination. Musk tweeted, I would like to apologize for firing these geniuses. Their immense talent will no doubt be of great use elsewhere, in response to a tweet regarding layoffs.

The layoffs come after Musk allegedly fired several contractors and cut the number of employees at Twitter in half. In addition, Musk’s retaliation against those who oppose him coincides with the strengthening of his control over the company through the firing of senior executives like Parag Agarwal.
With the assistance of his friends Jason Calacanis and David Sacks, his personal attorney Alex Spiro, and purportedly engineers on loan from some of his other firms, including Tesla, Musk is now running Twitter, according to CNN International.
