If you are a fan of VR games and equipment, surely the new PSVR2 games got you excited. Today, we are covering all of them, so you know what to expect.
Sony has announced the pricing and release date for PSVR 2, but it hasn’t yet announced a launch day lineup. The closer PSVR 2’s debut date of February 22nd gets, the more games are being added to the list.
All PSVR2 games that were announced
Here is a list of all PSVR2 games that have been announced so far, which we hope will increase shortly. The list of launch-day games is still pending. In our list, we first look at the titles that Sony has specifically stated, then we look at the steadily increasing number of developers who have promised to support PSVR 2 in the future.
Horizon Call of the Mountain
Contrary to what the trailer would imply, Horizon Call of the Mountain is not a hollow VR “experience” or a log flume ride. The first VR adaptation of the Horizon world won’t be a clone; rather, it will be an authentic story campaign with “added material” that will take about seven hours to finish, created by Sony’s first-party Guerrilla Games and Firesprite Studios.
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge
You play a droid repair worker working close to the Outer Rim in Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, an action-adventure game. This will be the first time this run-and-gun, Star Wars-inspired adventure is made available outside of the Meta ecosystem after being initially released on Meta Quest in 2020.
Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village, which Capcom is bringing to PSVR 2, will, according to Capcom, offer “an even deeper immersive experience by taking full use of the vivid graphics possible with the headset’s 4K HDR display, PlayStation VR2’s eye tracking, PS5’s 3D Audio, and more.”
Resident Evil 4
Although this specific version of Resident Evil 4 is a different kind of classic zombie shooter, it is already accessible on Quest 2. The game that will be released on PSVR 2 is essentially a remake, so this time around we’re getting brand-new stuff instead of simply higher-resolution graphics. The VR support is hoped to be on par with the Quest 2 version and far superior to RE7 Biohazard, which, while not terrible, is beginning to feel dated given that it was published in 2017.
Demeo
Demeo is a VR dungeon crawler that was developed by Resolution Games, a veteran of virtual reality. Since its introduction in 2021, it has done extremely well on Quest 2 and PC VR headsets, which is partly due to its basement-themed, D&D-style gameplay that enables you to team up with pals for a tactical gaming night from a distance.
No Man’s Sky
The space exploration simulator from Hello Games will be brought to PSVR 2 along with all of the subsequent patches and DLC releases that transformed it from a randomly generated empty shell to a world really bursting with potential, continuing the tale of redemption.
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapter 2
This is a full-fat sequel to The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, one of VR’s most well-liked recent releases. Similar to the first game in the series, you’ll scavenge around a post-apocalyptic New Orleans that’s teeming with both competing gangs that you may choose to join or engage in combat with, as well as the undead. You’ll need to consider your options carefully before charging into that group of walkers due to the game’s physics-based combat, limited ammo supply, and delicate stamina system.
Firewall Ultra
Although Firewall Ultra is undoubtedly the next entry in the series, it’s unclear how much “new” material we’ll be receiving with First Contact’s Firewall game, which like the original promises tactical squad-based shooting action across a variety of maps. Legacy maps, characters, and weaponry are anticipated, along with updates for more of everything in the future.
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR
The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, described by Supermassive Games as “a fast-paced roller coaster action-horror shooter where every move you make, and everything you see, might be the difference between life and death,” has just been released. Switchback VR makes strong use of the eye-tracking feature in the headset: certain opponents only move when you blink. It is set in the ominous realm of The Dark Pictures Anthology (Visine not included).
Crossfire: Sierra Squad
Crossfire: Sierra Squad, a brand-new VR first-person shooter set in the Crossfire world, was showcased by Smilegate in a teaser. As you fight against AI evil guys, the game may be played either solo or in co-op mode with up to 4 people on a squad. According to the studio, there are 39 different sorts of weaponry available, including pistols, rifles, throwable and returnable grenades, and sniper rifles with ground-breaking scope mechanics that enable you a variety of ways to eliminate 17 different enemy types.
The Light Brigade
Discover the mystery of the dismal “Sunken World” as you rise through the ranks of the eponymous Light Brigade, acquire weapons, and learn special spells in Funktronic Labs’ new single-player roguelike game The Light Brigade, which it describes as “packed with intense gunplay and somber intrigue.” Starting on November 15, The Light Brigade will be available for pre-order.
Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue
Hello Neighbor VR, developed by tinyBuild Games and Steel Wool Studios (Five Nights at Freddy’s), will be cross-purchasable on PSVR and PSVR 2. There is nothing more frightful than really seeing the recognizable shadow rise over you just before everything goes dark, according to tinyBuild. “Mr. Peterson’s spooky mansion takes on a new level of immersion in VR,” the website states. Beginning on November 15, Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue will be up for pre-order.
Pistol Whip VR
The PSVR version of the award-winning physical action-rhythm game from Cloudhead Games will receive a free PSVR 2 upgrade. The game combines dynamic music and thrilling gunplay to create a dreamlike environment in which players can blast, duck, and dodge their way to becoming the ultimate action hero.
Cities VR – Enhanced Edition
Fast Travel Games was able to bring Cities: Skylines to VR with its initial debut on Quest earlier this year, although in a somewhat reduced bundle to operate on VR devices. Smaller, as in the size of your city: You truly loom over your tiny town like a Godzilla-sized goliath, overseeing all of its structures and maintaining city planning.
Cosmonious High
The award-winning virtual reality games from Owlchemy Labs, such as Job Simulator and its follow-up Vacation Simulator, are recognized for being extremely engaging and approachable. We can’t wait to see how the eye-tracking in PSVR 2 will make our avatars come to life because this one has been available on Quest and PC VR headsets for a few months now.
Zenith: The Last City
The PSVR 2 version of Zenith: The Last City, a popular MMORPG from Ramen VR, was released recently. This well-realized VR native, which was supposed to be released on day one, has hundreds of hours of content.
Tentacular
Firepunchd Games is bringing its crazy journey, which was first released on Quest and PC VR, where you, a colossal yet kind-hearted tentacled beast, are seeking to find your place in the universe. Assist your human allies in their investigation of a mysterious and highly potent energy source. Make progress by resolving a massive jumble of physical building puzzles and action-based activities that unlock components for your very own playground.
After The Fall
Vertigo Games is releasing an improved version of the co-op zombie shooter to PSVR 2. The game was previously released on PC VR, Quest, and the first PSVR. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s basically Left4Dead in virtual reality. You can play it alone or with buddies and kill countless numbers of zombie villains as you progress through stages. Upgrade your equipment and return for more.
Jurassic World Aftermath Collection
This two-part psychological dino-thriller was first presented to Quest by Coatsink, who created a heart-pounding cat-and-mouse game with a horde of Raptor villains. If you can, seek refuge from inevitable death by using your sight and hearing to detect oncoming disaster.
