Tesla recalls vehicles, almost 1.1 million vehicles affected in the United States, and it is because the windows may close too quickly and pinch people’s fingers. According to documents supplied by American officials, the windows may not respond properly after sensing a blockage. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this is a breach of safety rules.
Tesla recalls vehicles: A software update will fix the issue
Tesla claims that a software update will resolve the issue. The world’s largest electric-vehicle company has often clashed with federal safety inspectors, whom CEO Elon Musk refers to as “the fun police.” Previous recalls have occurred as a result of:
- Rear-view cameras
- Bonnet latches
- Seat-belt reminders
- Sound-system software
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, criticized the term’s use “Recall,” he tweeted, adding, “The nomenclature is old and wrong.” This is a minor software update sent over the air. To the best of our knowledge, no one has been injured.” The most recent Tesla recall affects all four models, especially the 2017-22 Model 3 sedans, as well as the 2020-21 Model Y SUVs (sports utility vehicles), Model S sedans, and Model X SUVs.
The terminology is outdated & inaccurate. This is a tiny over-the-air software update. To the best of our knowledge, there have been no injuries.

During production testing in August, Tesla uncovered the issue with the automated windows. Owners will be contacted by mail beginning November 15th. According to company papers, vehicles manufactured after September 13th already have the necessary updated software to correct the problem. Tesla stated that it was not aware of any warranty claims, collisions, injuries, or deaths as a result of the recall.
