In this article, we are going to be ranking the 25 strongest characters in Naruto from worst to best so you know the definitive tier list in the Naruto series.
The “Naruto” brand has given the world over 70 volumes of manga, two long-running anime series, 11 animated films, and dozens of video game adaptations since 1999. It is a hugely successful series, both in manga form and on television. The original manga, which was published from 1999 to 2014, is still one of the best-selling manga series of all time, selling 250 million copies worldwide. Furthermore, the anime version of “Naruto” has consistently appeared on lists of the finest animes ever created, with the NPD Group noting in 2020 that “Naruto” was also the third most-watched children’s program on Netflix.
“Naruto” has received accolades for its unique take on the coming-of-age tale as well as its examination of Japanese mythology. It’s also known for its remarkable ensemble of characters, which ranges from disillusioned war veterans like Obito Uchiha to the hopeful young shinobi Naruto Uzumaki himself.
25 strongest characters in Naruto
Given the emphasis on fighting and battle in “Naruto,” and each character’s various fighting techniques, it’s easy to think that certain “Naruto” characters are significantly more strong than others. Here are the 25 most powerful “Naruto” characters, ordered from weakest to strongest.
Sakura Haruno
Sakura Haruno, Team Kakashi’s junior member, is often regarded as the weakest fighter in Kakashi’s squad. Sakura, who is ill-prepared and inexperienced in warfare, struggles at first to embrace the responsibility that comes with being a shinobi, especially in comparison to her better comrades like Kakashi, Naruto, and Sasuke. Throughout most of “Naruto,” Sakura is hot-headed and ignorant, allowing her animosity toward Naruto and her love desires for Sasuke to determine her actions. However, after training with Lady Tsunade, Sakura evolves into a competent fighter.
Sakura has a fresh ability as a medical-nin as a consequence of this training and becomes a valuable addition to Team Kakashi. On one pivotal occasion, she defeats Sasori of the Red Sand, a formidable and deadly Akatsuki member, with essential assistance from Sasori’s grandmother, Chiyo. Sakura, no matter how amazing a shinobi she eventually becomes, is still not nearly as powerful as any of Team 7’s other warriors.
Sasori of the Red Sand
Sasori of the Red Sand, a former Sunagakure ninja, member of the Akatsuki, and tutor to his partner Deidara, is the most lethal ninja in “Naruto” to use puppetry as his primary weapon. Sasori was orphaned as a kid after his parents were murdered by Sakumo Hatake. Raised by his grandmother in a sand hamlet, Sasori grew up to become a brilliant puppet master under the tutelage of grandma Chiyo.
When Sasori has mastered his trade, he murders the village’s chief and turns the corpse into a puppet that he can manage. Sasori can absorb the expertise of everyone who comes under his control through puppetry, earning their particular combat skillset for himself. As Sasori gets infatuated with his talents, he abandons his body and becomes a puppet himself, with only his heart remaining human, obtaining the capacity to control hundreds of puppets at any same time. Despite being unquestionably the most talented puppet master in “Naruto,” Sasori is defeated by Sakura and Chiyo, the woman who taught him everything he knows.
Shikamaru Nara
Shikamaru Nara of Team 10 is more than meets the eye. Shikamaru, who was first presented in “Naruto” as the Academy’s self-proclaimed laziest student preparing to be a shinobi, is naturally adept at acquiring and storing material at his own speed. He more than makes up for his lack of formal schooling with his genius-level mental process. Shikamaru’s intelligence is more important to him than his physical combat abilities. In fact, he is capable of defeating his master and Team 10 commander, Asuma Sarutobi, in each game they play.
Shikamaru’s combat technique, aside from his superior intellect, makes use of shadows as a weapon. Shikamaru’s Shadow Possession Jutsu allows him to latch his chakra onto an opponent’s shadow and control their body. This strength was powerful on its own, but the way Shikamaru uses it is what makes him such a fearsome opponent. He can outthink warriors who are substantially more strong than him by thinking 10 steps ahead of his opponents in the heat of combat. Shikamaru may be the greatest tactician in “Naruto” if his sloth didn’t keep him back.
Yamato
Yamato’s illustrious life and rough upbringing contribute to his being one of the most competent warriors in all of “Naruto.” Yamato, along with many other children, was abducted and experimented on by the evil Orochimaru when he was very young. Yamato was the sole survivor of Orochimaru’s suffering, and the event gave him the unique power to produce and manipulate nature – a rare fighting method known as Wood Style, which is practiced by just a few masters.
Yamato was kidnapped again not long after he was liberated from Orochimaru, this time by ANBU’s top-secret military squad, Root, who felt Yamato’s skills would make him a skilled agent and assassin. Yamato perfected his powers and became an even more powerful bearer of Wood Style under the tutelage of Root founder Danzo Shimura, able to build vast woods and control the fabled tailed creatures.
Yamato is presented to Naruto and Team Kakashi largely for this purpose. When Kakashi goes on a long mission, Yamato steps in as the team’s substitute teacher. Yamato is actually there to try to tame the tailed beast within Naruto since Yamato is one of the very few people who have any influence over the legendary monsters.
Mei Terumī
Mei Terumi is one of the most versatile fighters in “Naruto,” with two distinct kekkei genkai (genetic powers) – Vapor Style and Lava Style. She can use Vapor Style to breathe enormous clouds of corrosive mist that can melt through almost anything. In one especially famous scene, Mei defends a whole hamlet from meteorites by exhaling such a dense cloud of mist that the meteors melt in midair before touching down on ground. Mei’s Lava Style also allows her to spew extended streams of lava from her lips while regulating the temperature, density, and length of these streams.
Mei, the Fifth Mizukage — or fifth leader — of the town concealed in the mist, is a chakra master, flawlessly able to use lightning, fire, earth, and water chakra anytime she desires. Mei is on our list for all of these reasons and more.
Gaara
Gaara of the Sand is one of the most difficult and popular characters in “Naruto.” Gaara, like Naruto, was born as a jinchriki – someone who carries a tailed beast within them. Shukaku the One-Tail inhabits Gaara in this circumstance. As a result, Gaara is capable of controlling sand. Growing up, he inadvertently developed the practice of using sand as a defense weapon against anyone who came too close to him. Gaara practically grew up alone because no locals could reach within socialization distance. Gaara became mad as a result of her solitude and Shukaku’s constant harsh whispers.
Gaara learned to manipulate sand with Shukaku’s help and now utilizes it as a major weapon against each opponent he faces. One of his most lethal maneuvers includes encasing his opponents in a big coffin of sand and putting enough pressure to crush them. Gaara may have inherited many of Shukaku’s talents, but even when Shukaku is taken from his body, the young shinobi retains enough strength to become Suna’s Fifth Kazekage while still a teenager.
Kimimaro
Kimimaro, a Sound Five member, is one of Orochimaru’s best bodyguards. Though every one of the Sound Five’s individual members are formidable on their own, the group’s leader, Kimimaro, is arguably the strongest and most notable of the five, having defeated the whole group to take the title of leader for himself. Kimimaro, the last living member of the exceedingly barbarous Kaguya Clan, is also the sole holder of his family’s kekkei genkai. Kimimaro’s kekkei genkai, known as the Shikotsumyaku, allows him to alter the calcium in his body, effectively weaponizing his bone structure.
Kimimaro employs the Shikotsumyaku in shockingly devastating ways, from launching hardened calcium bullets to wielding his own spine as a sword. Kimimaro, one of Orochimaru’s most faithful supporters, uses his extraordinary talents to assist Orochimaru in the assassination of Rasa, the Fourth Kazekage of Sunagakure. Kimimaro dies in the middle of a fight against Naruto, Gaara, and Rock Lee, but he very likely would have defeated the three young ninjas if it hadn’t been for his mystery ailment.
Tsunade
Tsunade is descended from a long line of formidable ninjas. Her genealogy is undeniably impressive, since she is the granddaughter of First Hokage Hashirama Senju, one of the most formidable ninjas in “Naruto” history. Tsunade, like her grandpa, is a pioneer in her own right. Despite her noble ancestry, Tsunade leads a humble life that distinguishes her from her royal ancestors. When she first enters the world, she spends a lot of time and money gambling, but Naruto and her former partner Jiraiya finally convince her to take up the mantle of Fifth Hokage.
Tsunade is plagued with a strong phobia to blood early in the series, but she overcomes it. She eventually becomes one of the most powerful kunoichi — female shinobi — in “Naruto,” as well as one of the most astounding medical-nins to ever exist. Tsunade has a weird, quirky attitude, but her education and experience as a medical ninja make her a remarkably tough and resilient warrior. At one point, she utilizes her Creation Rebirth Jutsu to access the banned Strength of a Hundred Technique, rendering her nearly unkillable in battle.
Killer Bee
The Kumogakure ninja Killer Bee stands out for a variety of reasons. He, like Naruto and Gaara, is distinct in that he is a jinchriki with a tailed beast residing within him. However, rather than being at odds with his tailed beast, Gyki the Eight-Tails, Killer Bee has managed to tame and even become friends with it over time.
When he meets Naruto, Bee even instructs him on how to best handle his inner tailed beast, encouraging him to use his beast to gain power. Killer Bee, with Gyki’s help, becomes the head protector of his community, with hopes of being the world’s best rapper one day.
Killer Bee’s combat style is smashmouth and in-your-face, focusing heavily on a combination of professional wrestling maneuvers and superhuman power. After obtaining Samehada, a sentient blade capable of absorbing massive quantities of chakra from an opponent’s body, he becomes an even more fearsome warrior. Killer Bee, though competent on his own, is perhaps at his finest when partnered with his adopted brother, A. They constitute the A-B Combo, a well-known tag team capable of defeating even the most ferocious opponents.
Kabuto Yakushi
Initially, Kabuto Yakushi looks as a beneficial friend to Team 7. In actuality, he is a brilliant spy and Orochimaru’s apprentice, having been groomed for years to participate in secret espionage and intelligence collection. Because Kabuto has no recollection of his history, he becomes Orochimaru’s main spy once Orochimaru offers to provide him with an alias.
Kabuto isn’t as powerful as Orochimaru, but he’s spent years honing his abilities under the renowned Sannin and has become a ferocious combatant. Kabuto’s chakra allows him to transform his arms into sharpened, sword-like weapons. But it isn’t until after his master’s presumed death that he becomes a genuinely dangerous foe.
Using Orochimaru’s cells, Kabuto becomes an expert in new techniques that elevate him to the status of a power to be reckoned with, such as the Impure World Resurrection Technique, which raises legions of zombie ninjas to do his bidding. Kabuto additionally alters himself with Sound Five DNA samples, enhancing his already outstanding combat powers.
Hiruzen Sarutobi
It’s reasonable to believe that the person who taught someone as powerful as Orochimaru is himself extremely powerful. While Orochimaru finally overcomes his old teacher in battle, this is not imply that Hiruzen Sarutobi is weak – far from it, he is one of the strongest characters in Naruto. Hiruzen’s loss at the hands of his pupil is determined by how successfully Orochimaru predicted Hiruzen’s every move throughout their combat together. The duel indicates that Orochimaru’s talents are largely equivalent to Hiruzen’s in terms of sheer ability and strength.
Hiruzen is a Kage, or the head of a secret village, and the most powerful ninja in their region. He protects his community from outside forces for generations until his retirement and finally accepts to return to the post following the sudden death of his successor. This simply adds to his credentials as a fighter and demonstrates how well-liked he is among the locals.
Hiruzen learned a wide range of jutsu techniques, including those that were outlawed. Though regarded as the finest shinobi in the world before to the events of “Naruto,” Hiruzen’s talents are hampered by his advanced age by the time the series officially begins. His descent culminates in his defeat at the hands of Orochimaru. Nonetheless, Hiruzen fought hard against his former apprentice, calling the Monkey King: Enma to battle with him. When that fails, Hiruzen summons Shinigami, the embodiment of Death, to claim both his and Orochimaru’s souls with the Dead Demon Consuming Seal method as a final resort.
Kakashi Hatake
Kakashi Hatake, the commander of Team Kakashi, was born to be the next great shinobi of his time, having mastered a number of chakra components at a young age. After acquiring his Sharingan eye, which lets him to observe and mimic the attacks of other ninjas, Kakashi came into his own. Using the Sharingan, Kakashi became known as the “Copy Ninja” – a skilled shinobi who could learn and copy the jutsu of other adversaries.
On the surface, Kakashi appears laid-back and easygoing — he even arrives late to his training sessions — but his cool, placid attitude conceals the talented opponent he actually is. Kakashi is a veteran member of the ANBU Black Ops, an elite ninja combat squad, in addition to his participation on Team Kakashi and Team 7. His Sharingan is his most powerful weapon, but Kakashi also employs his own inventive combat maneuvers, like as the Chidori – a technique he invented that uses focused lightning strikes. Kakashi is so talented in battle that he has been known to read books while fighting.
Jiraiya
Jiraiya is one of the strongest characters in Naruto and was one of the three Sannin, along with Tsunade and Orochimaru, the renowned squad of ninjas that were last active during the Second Shinobi World War, and one of the series’ greatest teachers. Jiraiya became a knowledgeable master after the war, instructing many of the world’s most amazing students in the techniques of ninjutsu, including Naruto, Nagato, and Minato, among others.
Jiraiya’s combat talents are broad, and he depends primarily on the usage of sage chakra and ninjutsu, earning him the nickname “Toad Sage.” As a consequence, Jiraiya’s abilities range from Fire Style techniques that allow him to create oil for offensive fire strikes to Raging Lion’s Mane Jutsu, which allows him to grow out his hair and utilize it as a weapon.
His ultimate combat skill is a technique he learnt from his previous student, Minato — the Rasengan, which Jiraiya and Naruto both use. Jiraiya can unleash a spiraling wave of pure chakra capable of cutting through wood and human matter with this technique. Despite his considerable abilities, Jiraiya is finally defeated by his old disciple Nagato, who uses the decisive Six Paths of Pain to destroy his former mentor.
Might Guy
It’s easy to look at Might Guy and dismiss him. But underlying his outlandish exterior is an unrivaled practitioner of taijutsu. Taijutsu, in contrast to other fighting styles in “Naruto,” emphasizes physical warfare and martial arts, and Might Guy is one of the finest hand-to-hand warriors in the fictional universe of “Naruto.” Might Guy may become an even more powerful opponent by opening the Eight Inner Gates, which gives him improved speed and strength by effectively supercharging and kicking his chakra into overdrive.
Might Guy’s attacking maneuvers become significantly more decisive after opening the Gates. The Morning Peacock, a sequence of punches that produce fireballs from his fists; the Evening Elephant, which releases enormous blasts of air at opponents, driving them backwards; and the Night Guy, a banned and very unstable taijutsu technique that shatters every bone in the user’s striking leg.
Might Guy becomes an almost invincible taijutsu machine after all of the Gates are unlocked. Unfortunately, due to the instability of his physical form when the Eight Inner Gates are unlocked, Might Guy constantly drives himself perilously near to his own demise.
Orochimaru
Orochimaru, the greatest and most powerful of the mythical Sannin, serves as the major adversary for much of the first half of “Naruto.” Orochimaru is one of the most feared ninjas in “Naruto” legend, obsessed with achieving immortality and learning every jutsu in existence. This leads to him becoming a criminal, murdering and experimenting on his fellow shinobi.
Orochimaru has acquired a few ways for avoiding death throughout the years. He can transfer his soul into another person’s body with the Living Corpse Reincarnation method, an immortality jutsu he devised. He also enjoys using the Reanimation Summoning jutsu, a banned method for resurrecting the dead.
Orochimaru has changed his physical form so many times over the years that his body now resembles that of a snake, and he has the capacity to regenerate and recover from even the most severe injuries. He can summon shadowy snakes and enormous serpents, as well as proficiently use his grass longsword — a blade that can expand to astounding lengths and is sharp enough to pierce any surface — as a master of ninjutsu with access to five chakras. It’s clear that this fallen ninja more than deserves to be the main enemy of “Naruto” Part I.
Minato Namikaze
Minato Uzumaki is one of the strongest characters in Naruto. He is Naruto’s father, and it’s apparent that Naruto’s excellent fighting abilities run in the family. Minato resembles his son in a lot of ways. Both are excellent shinobi recognized for their fighting skills, having lived long, storied, adventurous lives, establishing reputations that follow them wherever they go. Minato, also known as the Yellow Flash of the Leaf, was trained by Jiraiya, one of the legendary Sannin. Minato’s well-known alias originates from his employment of the Flying Thunder God jutsu, which moves oncoming adversaries’ strikes to other areas.
Minato left the Great Ninja War with a great reputation among his colleagues, having established himself as a calm, cool, and collected warrior with outstanding leadership abilities. The fact that Minato taught one of his most decisive moves — the Rasengan — to Jiraiya, his former master, tells something about his strength and efficacy. Minato, remembered as one of the quickest shinobi in “Naruto,” eventually sacrifices himself to fight the nearly unstoppable Nine-Tailed Fox.
Itachi Uchiha
Itachi is one of the strongest characters in Naruto and is the polar opposite of Kabuto Yakushi or Obito Uchiha. Itachi begins the series as a villain but is later proven to be a likeable character whose acts, albeit extreme, are motivated by great motives. Itachi has exceptional powers for a boy his age as a youngster, and is regarded as the Uchiha clan’s wunderkind. He gets recruited into the ANBU Black Ops at the age of 11, unlocking his Mangeky Sharingan while still a teenager.
Itachi has a nearly unlimited array of capabilities and abilities as an adult. He is not only one of the most powerful offensive Fire Style users, but he can also create illusions and transform his body into a swarm of crows. He employs three crucial fighting moves with his Mangeky Sharingan: Tsukuyomi, which traps his adversaries in illusions; Amaterasu, which conjures black flames that are hard to extinguish; and Susanoo, which summons a gigantic chakra avatar to fight on his behalf.
Itachi is one of the few characters in “Naruto” who is never really vanquished. During his final moments alive, he purposefully loses to his brother, Sasuke, and exposes the benign reality behind his allegedly malevolent activities.
Nagato
Nagato — more generally known as Pain — is one of the Akatsuki’s founding members and, with the exception of Obito, is perhaps the group’s most powerful member. He is well known for assaulting the Hidden Leaf Village on his own and murdering well-known shinobi such as Kakashi and Jiraiya, his former instructor who taught him the arts of ninjutsu.
Nagato is a formidable opponent due to his mastery of all five chakra natures. Nagato began employing chakra receivers put in the bodies of fallen warriors to revive them and control their motions after being troubled by a crippling injury that confined him to a mechanical chair. Nagato has enormous power when he wields these avatars, known as the Six Paths of Pain.
He has the ability to astral project, summon massive beasts, absorb chakra from others, and manipulate the souls of others. When holding the Rinnegan eye, he may even converse with the King of Hell himself, demonstrating his immense power. Nagato has access to the Six Paths’ shared knowledge through the Rinnegan, allowing him to view what they’re seeing whenever he wants.
After a battle with Naruto, Nagato recognizes his mistake and promises to restore the souls of everyone he’s slain, including Kakashi and Jiraiya, at the expense of his own life. Nagato demonstrates his strength even in his final minutes.
Obito Uchiha
Obito is a criminal mastermind and one of the primary antagonists in the second part of “Naruto.” As a young man serving on Team Minato, Obito is nearly murdered when the right half of his body is crushed in a landslide. He abandons his noble ways after seeing the death of Rin, a fellow Team Minato member he had romantic affections for, after being saved by Madara and reconstructed with Zetsu’s prosthetics.
Later, Obito takes on the guise of Madara, resulting in the present edition of the Akatsuki. Obito, who rules his criminal empire from afar, is personally responsible for some of the most terrible events in “Naruto,” including Yahiko’s killing — the major impetus for Nagato’s joining the Akatsuki — and Kurama’s attack on the Hidden Leaf Village.
In addition to his Sharingan, which allows him to teleport long distances, Obito is skilled in Wood Style and Fire Style, and after acquiring the Rinnegan, he becomes a master of the Six Paths Technique. When Obito transforms from the jinchriki to the Ten Tails, his most powerful form, his skills range from flying to the capacity to wield Truth-Seeking Balls.
Madara Uchiha
The Hidden Leaf Village’s founders, Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, were essentially the original Naruto and Sasuke. Madara and Hashirama began the story as childhood friends, serving as reincarnations of their clans’ ancestral founders, Indra and Asura. The simmering war between their clans, however, culminates with Madara carrying a vengeful hatred against all Senju clan members, most especially Hashirama.
Madara is killed in combat by Hashirama, but this does not slow him down. He employs Obito as his main agent and keeps his Rinnegan in Nagato to secure his eventual resurrection. When Madara is resurrected via the Reanimation jutsu, he demonstrates enhanced physical powers and quickly overcomes all five Kages, reclaiming one of his Rinnegan and becomes the jinchriki to the Ten Tails.
He is skilled at wielding his Sharingan and Rinnegan, as well as Storm Release and Wood Release, in battle, and is at his most powerful when he becomes the receptacle of the Ten Tails. Unfortunately for Madara, he is soon betrayed by Zetsu, who uses Madara’s body as a host for Kaguya’s spirit.
Hashirama Senju
You can guarantee that someone known as the “God of Shinobi” would be towards the top of any ranking of the strongest “Naruto” characters. Hashirama’s accomplishments as Madara’s closest friend turned bitter archenemy are nearly too many to count. He is the incarnation of Asura Otsutsuki, an unique shinobi born with the innate ability to use Wood Style, the past chief of the Senju clan, the First Hokage of Konohagakure, and the one who fought Madara before his rebirth.
Hashirama possesses the skill to back up all of his awards. Hashirama’s chakra is extraordinarily strong since he is the reincarnation of Asura, so much so that he can perform difficult techniques with no hand motions at all. Skilled in Wood Release and ninjutsu, he is deservedly regarded as one of the most formidable shinobi in “Naruto” history.
Even after attaining the Eternal Mangeky Sharingan and becoming the jinchriki of the Nine-Tails, his main competitor, Madara, recognized his own inferiority to Hashirama on several occasions. Hashirama gained an almost mythological reputation as a result of his service in the Fourth Shinobi World War and his capture of eight of the nine-tailed creatures on his own, comparable to the stories surrounding the Sage of Six Paths.
Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki
Hagoromo Otsutsuki is one of the strongest characters in Naruto. The famous Sage of Six Paths, and his twin brother Hamura are Kaguya’s humanoid offspring, both inheriting vast amounts of chakra as infants. Hagoromo and Hamura vanquished Kaguya after their mother was transformed into the Ten Tails, and Hagoromo sealed the Ten Tails’ final husk-like body — the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path — into the moon and absorbed the Ten Tails within himself, becoming the first jinchriki. Hagoromo then utilized his mother’s leftover chakra to establish Ninsh, a religion that first campaigned for peace and harmony but subsequently became the foundation for ninjutsu, much to his disgust.
Hagoromo is generally regarded as a divinity rather than the significant inventor of ninjutsu. Though he is remembered and mythologized for his Sage-like knowledge and loving disposition, his god-like talents and confrontations with Kaguya became legendary.
Hagoromo, the father of Asura and Indra, is a persistent watcher of his sons’ deeds across generations, observing their fight when they reincarnate as Madara and Hashirama, and subsequently as Naruto and Sasuke. Even after death, the Sage of Six Paths demonstrates incredible strength, crucially assisting Naruto and Sasuke in destroying Kaguya and returning Team 7 from Kaguya’s realm.
Sasuke Uchiha
It takes a really powerful character to compete with series star Naruto Uzumaki, but Sasuke more than succeeds. Sasuke was a bitter and cynical member of Team 7. He was a calm, calculating, meticulous young man. After his clan was murdered by his older brother, Itachi, Sasuke grew up driven purely by vengeance. Withdrawn and brooding, he continuously seeks to use people in order to face his older brother in mortal battle… Eventually, he warms up to his teammates and relaxes a little.
Sasuke could undoubtedly lay claim to being the most powerful member of the Uchiha clan. Sasuke devotes his whole life to training in order to destroy Itachi, and he becomes one of Team 7’s most powerful ninjas, depending on the principles imparted to him by Kakashi and Orochimaru. Sasuke is arguably one of the strongest characters in “Naruto” canon, having defeated Orochimaru, Itachi, Danzo, Izanagi, and even several Kages. He prefers the Chidori technique given to him by Kakashi, as well as Indra’s Arrow, a technique that launches a chakra-infused lightning bolt that is as powerful as Naruto’s own Six Paths Big Ball Rasenshuriken.
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Sasuke gains even greater strength as the Sage of Six Paths bestows Six Paths chakra on him. This grants Sasuke access to the Six Paths and the Amenotejikara, an unique space-time ninjutsu that allows him to exchange places with an opponent in the middle of a combat.
Naruto Uzumaki
Despite being the series’ lead character, Naruto Uzumaki does not appear to be the most powerful shinobi alive. It is only with time and the guidance of some of the world’s top masters that he gradually hones his talents and becomes the greatest ninja there is, channeling his massive inner chakra and learns to harness the power of Kurama, the nine-tailed fox that resides inside him. Along with his unusually powerful talents and techniques, Naruto has a strong devotion to his principles, demonstrating a never-say-die attitude when it comes to his aims.
While Naruto learns several techniques, his favorite is the Shadow Clone jutsu, which allows him to make countless clones of himself. He also uses the Rasengan expertly, a unique technique that creates a spiraling ball of chakra and is even more powerful when Naruto is in Sage mode. In that state, the Rasengan transforms into the significantly more lethal Rasenshuriken, which Naruto may launch at foes. When Naruto enters his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, he transforms into pure fiery chakra, gaining the ability to grow extra limbs, move at superspeed, and wield the immensely destructive Tailed-Beast Bomb.
It may have taken some time for him to get there, but by the conclusion of the series, Naruto is without a doubt the most powerful human character in all of “Naruto.”
Kaguya Ōtsutsuki
Kaguya is the matriarch of the Otsutsuki clan, practically an all-powerful deity, and the first individual to ever wield chakra in the world after ingesting the fruit of the God Tree. Originally a loving heavenly entity known as the Rabbit Goddess among her devotees, Kaguya was corrupted by her divine power, eventually seeking to integrate the chakra inherited by her sons, Hagoromo and Haruma, before combining with the God Tree and transforming into the terrifying Ten Tails.
Unfortunately for her, the Ten Tails were no match for the strength of her sons. Kaguya was defeated and imprisoned in the husk-like Demonic Statue of the Outer Path at the end of the war.
When Kaguya returns with Madara as her vessel, she shows to be the most terrifying challenge Naruto and company have ever faced. Recognizing Naruto and Sasuke as reincarnations of her grandchildren, she attempts to murder them both and takes them, Obito, and the rest of Team 7 to her dimension to exterminate them. The characters were only able to live and vanquish Kaguya thanks to Hagoromo’s help.
As the “Mother of Chakra,” no one in the “Naruto” universe could ever defeat Kaguya in single battle. The only way she can be beaten is if a group of incredibly powerful ninjas get together and combine their efforts.
Because of her deity-like status, she has access to powers that no other being in “Naruto” can even imagine, such as the ability to change time and space, read minds, fly, generate and change her environmental surroundings, absorb chakra, regenerate her body, create life, and use her hair as a weapon. She may also change into the demonic Ten Tails at any time, and she has the ability to activate the Infinite Tsukuyomi, a genjutsu with the capacity to enslave the whole universe.
