Today we explain new FIFA 23 chemistry system. FIFA Ultimate Team will advance under the direction of EA Sports. We have more freedom to create our ideal team in FUT 23 than ever before. Player connections are no longer present. Extreme freedom is offered by the new system. We’ll go over what to look out for in the upcoming season and how chemistry will operate moving forward. Is chemistry getting removed in FIFA 23? Does chem matter in FIFA 23?
Is chemistry getting removed in FIFA 23?
The numerous leaks claiming that FUT 23’s chemistry will be drastically altered have been verified by EA. Because a goalkeeper and a striker from the same club or country should chemistry for your squad even if they are not next to each other on the pitch, the whole thing now seems a little more realistic. Therefore, the FIFA 23 chemistry system is not removed in this version of the game but it changes form.

Does chem matter in FIFA 23?
The Fıfa 23 chemistry system will still be important in this version of the game as it was in previous games, but it is true that there are serious differences in terms of handling. It should be emphasized that these differences make the game more realistic.
The players are no longer connected. Instead, our new method gives you greater flexibility. In the video, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are given as examples. You feel synergy between the two despite their “distance” on the field. You can then link up your Mbappé with PSG defenders or other French midfielders under the new system.
How well the player fits into your squad is indicated by the three “diamonds,” or squares, that you can see on the bottom left of the cards. If every diamond is filled, his chemistry is ideal. Instead of the previous 100 points, you only need 33 points to reach the highest level.
FIFA 23 chemistry system features
Your starting lineup is broken down into the clubs, leagues, and countries mentioned in the menu on the left. You can keep track of potential additions in this way. The idea is still the same: your team’s chemistry will be greater if there are more players from one club, league, or country in the starting XI. The cohesion of a team is unaffected by bench players.
The tiny greyed-out player heads are also significant since they indicate the number of additional players needed to fill the subsequent chemical square.
You must monitor the chemistry levels in FUT 23 if you want to increase chemistry. Chemistry can only be added by players that are utilized in the proper spots.
How chem works
- 2 players of a club or nation = + 1 chemistry
- 3 players of a league = +1 chemistry
- 4 players of a club = +2 chemistry
- 5 players in a nation or league = +2 chemistry
- 7 players of a club = + 3 chemistry
- 8 players in a nation or league = +3 chemistry
Even before FIFA 23 was officially released, EA Sports simplified the requirements for the new chemistry system. The second chemistry level for clubs can be reached with 4 or more players now – 5 were required previously. The numbers for the nations and leagues are quite a bit lower as well.
How to increase FIFA 23 chemistry (FUT 23)?
Icons and Heroes from FUT 23 still have the unique ability to make flawless linkages. If they are employed correctly in the new system, they will also greatly improve your chemistry.
For nations, Icons count as two player heads, while for the league, Heroes count as two players. For league and country purposes, managers count as one player.
Why does Marquinhos of Paris Saint-Germain just have two squares whereas Ederson, the goalie for Manchester City, has full chemistry? We walk you through it step-by-step. Because there are two Man City players in the starting XI, Ederson has perfect chemistry (Ederson and Mahrez). That takes up one square in chemistry. There are a total of 5 Premier League players in this team.
Thus, the second square is filled (although three players would be enough). Because there are more than two Brazilians on the team, he performs at the ideal level. In other words, even if Varane replaces Marquinhos, Ederson still has complete chemistry because the team includes 2 players from the City of Manchester (+1 Chem) and more than 5 players from the Premier League (+2 Chem).
Marquinhos has good connection with us because we have two PSG players and three Brazilians. Unless we rebuild and select three more PSG players (for a total of four), or two more Brazilians, he still needs a player from Ligue 1 for full cohesion (5 in total). The chemistry between them would still be at its peak.
