In this article, we will be covering WoW Dragonflight Beta sign up in 4 easy steps, so you get the chance to be in the Beta and play the game earlier.
It’s official: World of Warcraft’s next expansion will take us to the Dragon Isles. Dragonflight will offer several interesting updates to the game, including a new heroic race/class combination (the Dracthyr Evoker). So, how do you join the beta, not just to help test the new future skill system and hang out with ducks, but also to get your hands on the expansion before anybody else?
The previous beta opt-in approach consisted of a separate page linked to your Battle.net account where you could click a box for each franchise you wanted to test and record a hardware profile of your machine. This consolidated the menu, although it may become difficult to discover over time. Not to mention that you’d have to keep your hardware profile regularly updated whenever you replaced your computer hardware. But, thankfully, that step was removed after Blizzard improved their integration of the Battle.net account system.

Beta opt-in is now as simple as clicking a button on the official Dragonflight website. Okay, you’ll need to log into your Battle.net account in your browser as well if you haven’t previously, but there’s a short link at the top of the page that leads you directly to the button. Simply click, scroll down the page, and select Beta Opt-In.
- First, head on over to the official Dragonflight website.
- Then, sign-in to your Battle.net account.
- Next, click the beta opt-in button.
- That’s it. You are now signed up for the Beta.
If you return to the website while logged in to your Battle.net account, you’ll get the following confirmation:
Thanks for signing up, (YourName)!
Remember that expansion beta access is gradually rolled out. You’ll be notified through email after you’ve gained access to the beta, but until then, it’s a bit of a waiting game. And, as usual, keep an eye out for beta frauds. There will be a lot to put to the test. Blizzard introduced new flight mechanics for dragon-riding, a UI redesign, the Dracthyr Evoker, and modifications to the crafting system… We’ll see you in the Dragon Isles, hopefully during the beta!
