On Wednesday, some social media users observed that the Facebook edit button was gone, which confused them. Users were unable to edit their posts due to this Facebook glitch. Some users even uploaded several screenshots on Twitter.
Wait.. Facebook edit button is missing
You probably relate to the concept of an edit button differently depending on which social media platforms you use. While other platforms, like Facebook, have had edit buttons for years, some, like Twitter, have long resisted adding that kind of functionality. Despite the fact that users have long valued that feature, some have lately discovered that the Facebook edit button appears to have vanished.
One user tweeted, “Why on earth is my ‘edit post’ button gone on Facebook?!?!”
Another post asked, “Have we gone back to 2007 where you can’t edit posts on @facebook?
In general, people merely seemed perplexed at the button’s disappearance and pleaded for Facebook to offer some sort of justification for the change. Facebook hasn’t yet provided an explanation for why some users are unable to see the button, though. The majority of people appear to have concluded that Facebook changed its functionality on purpose, but it would be a rather significant move to do without making any prior announcements.
Some users speculate that it’s related to the most recent iOS release. Because even though Apple devices didn’t have the feature at all, Android devices did. As a result, it was linked to the most recent iOS update by social media users. Although Facebook has not issued a statement, it was widely believed that the capability was removed following an iOS software update.
So since I updated Apple software on iPhone this morning, the “Edit” button on Facebook has disappeared. You can edit in Comments, but not your own posts. Whyyyy? @facebook

After downloading the most recent version of the Apple operating system, some users discovered that they no longer appear to be able to update Facebook posts on their Apple devices.
Additionally, some people pointed out that while editing is still an option on Android smartphones, it is no longer available on Apple products. This seems to imply that an Apple software update may be at blame, which is certainly not ideal. Updates shouldn’t introduce new bugs that later need to be fixed itself; instead, they should fix bugs that were already present in the product.

Apple recently made an update to the operating system, but it has generated a lot of discussion among customers who are dissatisfied with the removal of the Facebook edit option.
To reinstate the Edit option on Facebook, a number of Twitter users suggested several solutions. Using the online application rather than the app was one of the most popular ones. Others claimed that reinstalling the app on the device could be able to resolve the issue.
Clearing the cache on iOS was the other suggestion made by the users to speed up the operating system.
How to fix the Facebook glitch?
Although there are no foolproof solutions for this problem, several users have recommended that the best alternative could be to use Facebook’s online application whenever it’s practical rather than the app. You may also try clearing the cache in your browser or uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your device to see if it fixes the problem.
Additionally, you can delete your cache from within the Facebook app. On an iOS device, go to the Facebook app and select the three stacked lines in the bottom right to accomplish that. Then select “Settings & Privacy” from the drop-down box and click “Settings.” Following that, select “Browser” and then “Clear Browser Data.”
On an Android device, select “Settings” and then “Apps and Notifications” to delete the cache. After that, select “Facebook,” go to “Storage,” and select “Clear Cache.” Some issues might be related to your operating system too. For instance some users reported after they solved the 0x0 0x0 Windows error code, Facebook edit button was readily available again.
