Instagram NFT integration program is expanding across 100 countries in Africa, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas, according to a Meta press article published on Thursday. This includes the ability to upload digital collectibles created on the Flow blockchain as well as the addition of support for wallet connections with Coinbase Wallet and Dapper. The initial deployment is focused on the well-known social media platform Instagram.
Instagram NFT integration is underway
According to a May announcement, Instagram also intends to introduce support for Solana NFTs. Facebook, the parent company of Instagram, started testing support for Ethereum and Polygon NFTs on accounts in June. Facebook also indicated plans to eventually add Flow and Solana support.
The parent firm of Facebook and Instagram changed its name last fall (from Facebook Inc.) as it disclosed its ambitious vision for a next-generation internet that is browsed using avatars in immersive 3D settings. This indicates that Meta is pushing hard for the future metaverse.
Many crypto developers are working on the technology to make it possible for blockchain networks and NFTs to be a part of an open, interoperable metaverse. Mark Zuckerberg, the creator and CEO of Meta, has made it known that he is interested in permitting interoperable assets as part of his platform, but Meta has not yet provided specific information about how open its metaverse will be. Now let’s discuss the whole Instagram NFT integration process.
Did you know that Meta will allow mature content in Horizon Worlds?
Can I post NFT on Instagram?
To publish an NFT, one just needs to link their digital wallet to Instagram, according to the company’s updated post. As of Thursday, third-party wallet connections with Rainbow, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Dapper Wallet were either finished or would be soon. At the moment, Flow, Polygon, and Ethereum are supported blockchains. There are no charges for sharing or uploading a digital collectible on Instagram.
Mark Zuckerberg announced we’re rolling out digital collectibles to 100 more countries. Now, more people, creators and businesses can showcase their #NFTs on @instagram.
We're also launching integrations with @CoinbaseWallet @hellodapper and support for @flow_blockchain.

What blockchain will Instagram use?
The FLOW coin, after which the network is named, serves as payment for participation in the network, transactions, and governance. Flow is a layer-1 blockchain. Warner Music, Ubisoft, the National Basketball Association, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Animoca Brands, Circle, Binance, OpenSea, and now Meta are among notable ecosystem partners.
Digital assets seem to have joined the metaverse as one of the fundamental elements for Meta’s growth. The company’s revenue fell by 1% to $28.8 billion in the second quarter of 2022, while operating income plummeted by 32% to $8.36 billion during the same period. The company’s staggering $2.8 billion loss in its Metaverse segment, according to CEO Mark Zuckerberg, didn’t bother him because there was still a chance to generate “hundreds of billions” or even “trillions” of dollars as the industry develops.
How do I sell NFT on Instagram?
Currently, Instagram NFT integration is not finalized so there is not a native feature on Instagram that lets you sell NFTs directly on the platform.
As a result, you’ll need to build a website or landing page because you won’t be able to add direct affiliate links to your bio that promote or sell cryptocurrency projects through Facebook’s business and ad programs.
Then use a link shortener to convert your landing page, and then add the URL to your Instagram bio. Then, inside your landing page’s digital art gallery, you may make posts and little films to sell your NFTs. Your customers can click the link to access your NFT solutions right away. In order to retarget your consumers, you also get to gather their contact information, including email addresses and the products they bought.
Many excellent businesses provide straightforward landing pages with email gathering and other features. There is no need to pay exorbitant costs because organizations like ConvertKit and Karta provide solutions for less than $100 per month.
Can I turn my Instagram photos into NFT?
Yes, there are several third-party applications that enables users to turn Instagram photos into NFT.
