In this article, we are going to be covering the Bella Hadid NFT project, where her 3D body scan was used to produce 11,111 unique NFTs.
Bella Hadid NFTs were inspired by video games
Bella Hadid, a supermodel from the United States, has entered the metaverse with the release of CY-B3LLA, a collection of Non-Fungible Tokens containing artwork based on 3-D scans of her face and body. After growing infatuated with computer games during the COVID-19 lockdown, Hadid, 25, told Reuters in an interview from New York that she was captivated by shared virtual world surroundings and that she wanted to construct “cool versions” of herself. Previously, she stated on Instagram that she founded the NFTs to “encourage travel, community, growth, fantasy and human interactions.”
NFTs are a type of digital asset that exists on the blockchain, which is a database of transactions held on networked computers. NFTs may be used to buy and sell digital goods like photos, movies, music, and text. “It was super fun,” Hadid remarked of the process, adding that the finished products contain her “exact facial expressions.” Her collection comprises 11,111 NFTs produced in partnership with the NFT minting platform reBASE. The CY-B3LLA NFTs were inspired by ten different nations, including assistance from local artists. She stated:
“To see what kind of version of me that their brain concocted was really interesting … There are so many different versions of me that you could make and not ones that I could ever dream up,”
Between now and September, the sites and supporting digital materials will be disclosed, with the first group including photos of a robotic-style Hadid influenced by Japan. Each NFT also functions as a passport to a worldwide community, unlocking incentives and granting entry to real-world events frequented by Hadid.
The date on which these NFTs will be available for purchase has yet to be revealed, but prospective customers can register online. Hadid stated:
“It’s really exciting to see that people actually, like, want to be involved,”
“Every time I put something out, it feels like a birthday party, like no one’s going to show up. And so it’s been really nice to see … people actually … kind of tuning in and understanding it.”
