The most important stage in the electronic dance music scene—the legendary main stage of Tomorrowland—will host the debut live performance of Ape Rave Club.

600,000 people are anticipated to attend the festival in person, while millions more are anticipated to watch it live online. The performance is a groundbreaking visual experience that unites the virtual and real worlds for viewers in a brand-new way.

What is Ape Rave Club?

The public domain only contains a very small amount of information about the Ape Rave Club project. Both a YouTube channel and a Twitter account are linked on the official website. However, as of this writing, YouTube does not even have a hundred subscribers, and no content has been uploaded.

Tomorrowland, a music festival in Belgium, has a link between Ape Rave Club and the well-known BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club) NFT project, which is built on the Ethereum blockchain. The Ape Rave Club’s affiliation with BAYC #9184 is also suggested via Tomorrowland’s blog. Due to a just finished performance on Tomorrowland’s stage, Ape Rave Club is in the news.

It is claimed that a “NFT Artist” directed the act. Ape Rave Club posted photos of the concert to their Twitter account, where a musician wearing a BAYC NFT mask can be seen performing.

“Ape Rave Club is the first digital artist born on the blockchain to perform at a major festival. Combining the universal language of music and blockchain technology, expect NFT drops with real-world utility, special experiences, and endless ways to connect with fans on a whole new level,” the artist said in an official statement on March 8.

“Ape Rave Club plans to release original crypto-native music via NFT platforms, and aims to be one of the first decentralised artists in the music industry. This means fans will be able to govern elements like artistic direction and even share ownership in Ape Rave Club,” the statement added. Did you catch the Snoop Dogg Eminem BAYC collab? Tomorrowland has been a well-known music festival for the past 17 years. However, as of late, according to a blog on its website, Tomorrowland has announced plans to enter the NFT market with its Medallion of Memoria collection, which would grant privileged admission to its events.

One of the biggest music festivals in the world, Tomorrowland, takes place in Boom, Belgium. The event debuted in 2005 and has since grown to become one of the most renowned international music festivals. Every year in the summer, it spans over three weekends in 2022 and attracts 600,000 visitors from more than 200 nations, always selling out in a matter of minutes. Tomorrowland has grown to be a genuine worldwide phenomenon that unites people from all over the world during the past 16 years.

A digital artist is claiming that Ape Rave Club’s Tomorrowland performance is a first-of-its-kind occasion. Meanwhile, Beeple continues to be possibly the most well-known artist in the larger NFT universe.

One could consider the union of Tomorrowland and Ape Rave Club as a modest step towards Web 3.0. It remains to be seen if this will herald a significant movement in entertainment toward the “decentralised internet.” The wider cryptocurrency and NFT arena is currently going through a very depressed era when asset prices have dropped significantly.

If Ape Rave Club’s NFT artist designation can have an impact for a long time, only time will tell. Did you know that Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) films are on their way? Check our latest article for further information!
