Samsung foldable phone launches will take place next month. Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy Unpacked presentation will in fact take place on August 10th, giving a clear resolution to the peculiar conundrum it presented yesterday.
Samsung urged people to utilize three photos to reveal a secret message in a cryptic tweet, we reported yesterday.
“We have a secret to tell you. #SamsungUnpacked,” the tweet read.
We have a secret to tell you. #SamsungUnpacked
— Samsung Mobile (@SamsungMobile) July 18, 2022
The tweet also included a link to Samsung Unpacked, the company’s primary product launch website. At the time of writing, though, clicking on this only takes you to the Samsung Mobile website and offers no further details about Unpacked. You’ll have a chance to decipher the below-shown tweet before we reveal the game’s outcome.
You simply need to match the colored circles to the characters in the previous image; it isn’t particularly difficult. The outcome is “08 10 22,” which is August 10 in American date style.
New Samsung foldable phone to be introduced
The teaser’s accompanying graphic further affirms that the Samsung foldable phones will take center stage, with a Galaxy Z Flip-shaped device serving as a “greater than” sign. The streamed event will begin at 9AM ET on Samsung.com.
This almost certainly confirms when Samsung will host the premiere because the August 10 date has been mentioned previously on numerous occasions. But there are still issues with the lineup.
While the fourth-generation Fold and Flip phones, which have taken the place of the Note as Samsung’s bi-annual flagship debuts, are widely expected to steal the show, the new Galaxy Watch 5 series and Galaxy Buds Pro truly wireless earbuds may also make an appearance.
Samsung has not yet decided whether to hold a traditional product launch or limit it to live streaming. In either case, we’ll make every effort to get our hands on the new technology and share our initial thoughts as soon as we can.
It was kind of a given that we’d see upgraded Samsung foldable phones next month based on the cryptic hint that Samsung dropped yesterday and the timing of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3 launches from the previous year. If the phone depicted on the invitation is the Z Flip 4, then reports that the gadget will receive just minor updates seem to be true. It appears to share the Flip 3’s form, rear dual-camera arrangement, and side-mounted power button/fingerprint scanner. On the 10th, we should also anticipate the release of a Z Fold 3 upgrade, which, according to speculations, may feature a camera bump that looks a little different than the one on the Z Fold 3.
The last iteration of Samsung foldable phone saw significant maturation, and this generation we anticipate even more improvement. With performance improvements and a potential 1TB storage option, the Galaxy Fold 4 appears to be a rather modest update in terms of specs. We’re hopeful that improved manufacturing procedures will enable Samsung to reduce the price a little bit further this time around because last year’s model was still excessively pricey.
New Galaxy Watches are also coming
Samsung’s pre-preorder marketing offers savings for bundles of a Galaxy phone, watch, and buds. New Galaxy Watches are also anticipated. That’s correct, US customers can reserve a presale deal on whatever the firm announces in August by merely providing Samsung with their name and email address. You’ll probably simply have to watch the livestream in a few weeks if you’d want to learn what Samsung has planned first.
