Today we are here to explain what is a geyser in Fortnite. Also find out Fortnite geyser locations below, if you don’t know how to launch into the air using a geyser in Fortnite, we are here to help.
This mechanic is ideal for getting to high places or escaping from a fistfight quickly because you can launch your glider once you’re in the air and cover a lot of ground.
What is a geyser in Fortnite?
In Chapter 3: Season 3, the gameplay element known as “geysers” made a comeback in Fortnite: Battle Royale. A geyser is a hot spring that occasionally erupts when sufficient pressure is created, shooting a powerful jet of water into the air. In Fortnite, if you dive into this jet of water, it will launch you into the skies.
Players can use the Glider Redeploy ability and be catapulted into the air thanks to the Reality Bloom Biome’s numerous geysers. It will take some time until it lets out air, unlike the Klombo hibernation zones.
Around Reality Falls, there are geysers that occasionally spew water and steam, which, if you happen to be standing on top of one at the time, will send you flying high into the air. When the eruption launches you into the air, you can reposition your glider to obtain a better perspective of your surroundings or just float away to a different part of Fortnite while traveling a respectable distance. Give them a try if you’re nearby; although they may seem fairly violent, they are completely harmless.
Several of the weekly assignments also include these Fortnite geysers, with the first one requiring you to launch into the air utilizing three of them. If you’re already in the region to ride an eruption, it makes sense to move on to Rave Cave afterwards to enjoy the other items as well.
More recently, a mission was added that required using a Fortnite Baller, a Fortnite zipline, and a geyser in a same match. You can complete any tasks that call for them by visiting any of the Fortnite geyser locations around Reality Falls, which we’ve listed for you here. Now that you’ve learned what is a geyser in Fortnite, let’s find out their locations together.
Fortnite geyser locations
Now that you’ve learned what is a geyser in Fortnite, it’s time to check out their locations. Only in the western region of the Fortnite map, which is covered in enormous, glowing mushrooms, can you find geysers. Additionally, Reality Falls and Greasy Grove are located there.
There are 12 geysers in this region, but seven of them are concentrated in Peril Pass, making it the perfect place to finish this straightforward challenge. Additionally, the neighboring Reality Tree provides a ton of loot for you to loot afterwards. Use the directions below and the map above to navigate to any of the Fortnite geyser locations:
- Peril Pass: In this famous location, which is just west of Reality Falls, there are seven geysers that are all quite near to one another.
- Reality Falls north: Just north of the Reality Tree, there is a geyser on a small rocky island in a lake that is fed by multiple waterfalls.
- Reality Falls south: A geyser can be found towards the top of a cliff to the south and across the road from Reality Falls.
- Shelly Shoals: A geyser can be seen on the west coast near Shelly Shoals, which is a landmark, west-southwest of Greasy Grove.
- Displaced Depot: East-northeast of the recognizable Displaced Depot structure is where you can discover a geyser. It is perched above the rocky formation that resembles a massive shark head.
- Scratch Pad: From the Scratch Pad marker, head southwest to a geyser perched on a hill covered in trees.
The Fortnite map’s southwest purple quadrant is the only place where geysers can be found, so if you’re looking for one, head west toward Reality Falls or Greasy Grove.
Below is a map of Fortnite with all of the current geyser locations marked:
How to launch into the air using a geyser in Fortnite?
Now that you’ve found a geyser, all you need to do to get fired upwards as well is stand over it as it begins to shoot water. This will let you redeploy your glider so you may scout the region from above or change your position. To complete the task and receive the XP reward, repeat this three times.
If you’d like, you can use the same geyser for all three. Although we think it’s great if you land near Peril Pass at the beginning of a battle to finish the quest as quickly as possible, it doesn’t even have to be done in the same match.
You may reach the Fortnite wind tunnel in The Screwballer by traveling north from Reality Falls to Rave Cave. One of the Week 2 Fortnite challenges requires you to board a Baller truck and enter the tunnel. Watch out for some Fortnite Runaway Boulders while you’re nearby; you can move them with your Baller to complete another task.
