Why is Ubisoft shutting down servers?

“Closing the online services for some older games allows us to focus our resources on delivering great experiences for players who are playing newer or more popular titles,” Ubisoft explained in the announcement statement. From September 1 of this year, multiplayer will be removed from the games on the list.

The list also contains Rayman Legends and Far Cry 3, as well as other more well-known games like Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood, and 3. The main issue is that, even if you paid for PC versions of games like Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, 3, Anno 2070, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, and Far Cry 3, you won’t be able to access or even download the DLC for the game.

The fact that customers will not be able to use the services they have paid for is undoubtedly an extremely bad development. It is obvious that this move of Ubisoft will receive a lot of criticism.
