An unexpected source, radio broadcaster Howard Stern, may have revealed information about a new Marvel movie, Doctor Doom MCU project might be on its way.
Stern is heard speaking to a producer over what seems like a hot mic about his summer plans, which reportedly include appearing in Doctor Doom in some form. Among the other names that come to mind is Robert Downey Jr.
A new Doctor Doom MCU might come out soon because Marvel Studios has confirmed that a new Fantastic Four film is also in the works. There has been a lot of talk that he would make his appearance earlier, perhaps in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, to establish him as a danger that hangs over the entire MCU.
Many people have also pondered whether Doctor Doom could play the lead in his own film or Disney+ series to fully develop the fabled antagonist. However, Marvel has not yet provided any details regarding their plans for Victor von Doom.
Is there a new Doctor Doom MCU movie in the works?
Stern is heard telling, “They’re going over the schedule with me, and it’s going to suck.”
“I told you, I’m going to do ‘Doctor Doom.’ That’s the thing. But believe me, I’m f–king miserable about it…I called Robert Downey, Jr. and I was asking him acting techniques.”
The video spread swiftly on social media, sparking hysterical rumors. Would Doctor Doom grant Howard Stern an interview? Would he appear in an episode of What-If Season 2? Was it a fully staged prank?
Howard Stern accidentally revealed it on a hot mic

In any case, Doctor Doom is receiving a lot of attention right now. Victor Von Doom has yet to make an appearance in an MCU film, but the timing is right for him to do so, especially after a certain cameo in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Kang the Conquerer’s potential cosmic destruction makes Doctor Doom an intriguing terrestrial menace. By the way if you have missed that movie, learn here what to watch before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Based on how Stern’s involvement in a Doctor Doom MCU project came to light, there is not a lot of information out there to clear up any confusion. Stern’s comments make it sound like he is playing Doctor Doom in some capacity and that it is a project affiliated with Marvel. Stern is not a prolific actor (as he has only two acting credits where he is not himself) making him a surprising choice to play the iconic villain. His 6’5 build would make Doctor Doom an intimidating presence if this is for a live-action project.
It’s likely that Stern’s Doctor Doom MCU project has nothing to do with the live action because Stern might portray Doctor Doom in a podcast as Marvel has created a variety of story-based podcasts, such as one for Wolverine. He might even voice Doom in an animated MCU Disney+ program like season 2 of What If…? or portray the villain in a video game. By the way, we have to inform you that Marvel She-Hulk trailer released, check that one out for sure!
He might even take on a different role in a project that features Doctor Doom. Naturally, it appears like Stern might eventually take on the role of Doctor Doom in the MCU, which would also suggest that his screen debut is far closer than many people might have previously thought.
At San Diego Comic-Con, where Marvel Studios has confirmed its attendance, we might learn more about the project. There is also talk of a Phase 4 Fantastic Four reboot, however little is known about it at the moment. Don’t miss this one out, did you know that a new Marvel Thor Love and Thunder trailer released?
