Today we’ve gathered every SF6 leak we could find, the latest news show us that there will be new features added to the fighting franchise. In February, CAPCOM announced Street Fighter 6 and now it kept its word and revealed additional footage of Street Fighter 6 during today’s PlayStation State of Play. The game is set to release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later next year.
The latest SF6 leak reveals real-time commentary feature and more
According to the latest SF6 leaks, The fighter roster grows with the introduction of mainstay Chun-Li, newcomer Jamie, and Kimberly, also a new addition who only appears at the conclusion of the trailer. In addition, there will be two different modes: one focused on one-on-one combat as you’d expect from Street Fighter, and the other an “immersive” single-player mode that lets you explore an open world in search of fights.
Capcom has provided the following statement about the upcoming Street Fighter 6:
With every new Street Fighter comes mechanics you can master to rise to the top. Introducing, the Drive System, a gauge you’ll need to manage wisely and one that is ripe with creativity. You can utilize the Drive Gauge to perform five different techniques that can easily enhance your offense or defense.
A Drive Impact is a powerful strike that can absorb an opponent’s incoming attack and can lead to a wall splat. Use Drive Parry to repel your opponent’s attack and refill your Drive Gauge. Cancel out of a Drive Parry or normal attack into a Drive Rush to quickly close in on your opponent. Overdrive Arts are similar to EX Moves from past games that power up your Special Moves. Use Drive Reversal to perform a counterattack to get you out of tight situations. One gauge, five techniques, unlimited possibilities. Use your creativity to choose which technique to utilize and when. It’s all in your hands!
For those who are worried that fighting game inputs are too complicated and just want to unleash your inner fighter, we have a solution in the form of a new control type option.
First off, Classic Control Type is what veterans can expect to use for inputs with its six-button layout.New to Street Fighter 6 is the Modern Control Type, which allows for easier inputs where a special move can be performed by combining the “Special Move” button with one directional input. This is perfect for newer players or those who may have found classic command inputs a bit too difficult in the past.
With the Modern Control Type, your character will perform some of their flashiest (and best) attacks with just a few button presses. Modern Control Type is optional, but we highly recommend new players give it a try!
In-game commentary recorded by well-known personalities in the fighting game industry is also new to Street Fighter 6. This function, which was previously utilized in indie fighter game Yatagarasu, adds a lot of personality and excitement to fights, so let’s hope it’s put to good use this time around. Now let’s continue digging into the most recent SF6 leak!

Capcom first introduced Street Fighter 6 with a cinematic trailer in February, showcasing the game’s new aesthetic direction. Ryu and Luke, a braggart obnoxious dork who was introduced late into Street Fighter V’s lifespan, were the only fighters shown for its roster at the time.
Late last year, a leak of an internal release schedule from the Capcom ransomware cyberattack revealed that Street Fighter 6 was scheduled to be released. The SF6 leak showed that the game would debut in Q3 2022, with Super and Ultra upgrades planned for Q4 2023 and Q4 2024, respectively. Obviously, no hints about these future features were given during the event.
For over 30 years, the Street Fighter franchise has been the developer’s main fighting game. It was first released in 1987 and forever altered the genre with 1991’s Street Fighter II. Despite this, there have been significant highs and lows throughout the vast number of sequels and updates.
In 1999, after the release of Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Capcom took a break from the series. It looked like the developer had lost interest in the game entirely until it revived its vows with 2008’s Street Fighter IV, which also resulted in additional updates and eventually led to the debut of Street Fighter V in 2016.
In other words, Street Fighter V survived long enough for the creators to rescue it from total collapse and transform it into a rather competent fighting game, albeit not its finest performance.
Street Fighter is still a household name, and despite the fact that its dominance may not be as great as it once was, it is indisputable. While Capcom’s grip on the series has been tenuous at times, particularly since Street Fighter IV producer and former Capcom executive Yoshinori Ono departed, there have been brief flashes of brilliance.
Street Fighter 6 roster
A new opponent is on the way, and it’ll include a diverse mix of classic and new fighters. Here’s a list of every character that will be in Street Fighter 6. The next fighting game has been teased over a period of months. Despite being announced several months ago, little information about the game’s gameplay or features have been provided. Even though the latest SF6 leaks provide us some information.

The characters set to appear in the game have already been revealed thanks to the latest SF6 leak. Both new and old faces are expected to appear, although some of those known figures are receiving fresh incarnations. The following are the Street Fighter 6 characters who will arrive.
Full list of Street Fighter 6 characters
The fighters in Street Fighter 6 will be relatively under-featured at launch, but the number of characters will increase over time. The most recent SF6 leak indicates that DLCs and free updates will add new characters. Only a few fighters have been revealed thus far, but more will undoubtedly be shown ahead of the game’s release. Here are those that we know are on their way:
Ryu
The protagonist of the Street Fighter franchise is naturally front-and-center in Street Fighter 6. Ryu will return with a stunning new appearance that evokes images of Oro or Dhalsim, the series’ hero. The story’s protagonist has history with both characters, as Dhalsim was a mentor and Oro was a wannabe mentor who was rejected by Ryu. Despite having his regular “shoto” attacks, Ryu may include some fresh twists based on one of those two characters.
Luke
Capcom’s decision to add Luke as the final DLC character in Street Fighter V caught people off guard. He’ll be a significant figure in future games, according to the latest SF6 leak. So far, it appears that this is true. In trailers, he’s being highlighted as a foe for Ryu. He still has the Street Fighter V MMA-inspired move set, although it’s possible that his abilities will be modified to demonstrate growth.
Chun-Li
Chun-Li is returning with a makeover. She has reverted to her iconic Street Fighter 2 outfit in SFV, but it looks like she’s returned with a similar move set. Expect her to perform all of her classic moves, as well as some new acrobatics to go along with them.
Jamie
The first all-new character revealed for is Jamie according to the latest SF6 leak, and he appears to be a lot of fun. In Street Fighter history, the first intoxicated fist user has been revealed. Although the classic Jackie Chan film has inspired a character in almost every fighting game series, Street Fighter does not yet have a zui quan fighter. Jamie will join King of Fighters’ Chin, Tekken’s Lei Wulong, and many more characters in being the first zui quan fighter in Street Fighter history. Did you know that Tekken had an anime series on Netflix, check out Tekken Bloodline Netflix trailer.
Will Street Fighter 6 have DLC characters?
Unless Capcom reverses its decision, Street Fighter 6 will have DLC characters. Although fighting game players were hesitant to accept the inclusion of DLC characters due to the possibility of pay-to-win mechanics, publishers have embraced microtransactions. It’s now standard practice for the field. Fans may rest assured that any major fighting game release will include DLC fighters, whether it’s Smash Bros., Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, or anything else. The only exception is if a game bombs so catastrophically on release that support is immediately terminated.
