We solved the Rocket League voice chat not working problem and explained how to use it. New version of voice chat returned on May 9th, and here’s how to use voice chat in Rocket League.
Communication is required in a competitive game to minimize delays and maintain effective coordination between players. Players who can communicate well may devise plays that they would be unable to execute on their own.
Rocket League voice chat not working: How to use it?
Rocket League will not require any additional configuration to use voice chat. By default, the option to utilize voice chat will be enabled. To listen and respond, all that is required is a headset connected to your console or pc.
The friends list menu will feature a new Voice Chat tab. Players may join, switch, or leave channels either via the main menu or the pause menu in matches if they use this new tab. There will be two distinct voice channels: Party Chat and Team Talk.
Party Chat
Players will communicate with their pals in Party Chat. When a Voice Chat-enabled player creates a party, they will be instantly invited to the Party Voice Channel. Other gamers can join the channel and chat throughout games as the connection between them stays up.
Team Chat
When a team match is created, players who want to chat with teammates that aren’t on their friends list will utilize the Team Voice Channel. This voice channel only lasts until the current match concludes and opens again with the start of the next game.
How to mute players?
Individuals on any voice channel will have the option to muffle those on the same channel. Simply select the name of the player you want to silence in the Voice Chat tab and choose Mute. A speaker icon with an ‘X’ appears when a player is muted or does not have a microphone device. Is someone cussing you over the chat because you got more points than them? Well, it could be because of the rank disparity bug. Here’s how to fix it, you don’t need to mute them anymore.
How to customize Voice Chat?
To change Voice Chat settings, players must first go to the settings menu. In the Voice Input/Output setting for PC users, they will be able to alter the audio sources. Players will be able to select the Push-to-Talk version of Open Mic in the Voice Chat Method option by changing it to the default setting. Players must link the PTT button from the Controls page with a key of their choosing for use with Push-to-Talk.
