Avatar 2 trailer was finally released. When its income surpassed $2.8 billion worldwide, the first “Avatar” surpassed “Avengers: Endgame” as the most profitable film of all time, according to Box Office Mojo.
The second “Avatar” is scheduled to feature many of the original film’s cast members, including Zoe Saldana as Neytiri, Sigourney Weaver in a new capacity, and Sam Worthington as Jake Sully. The cast includes Kate Winslet as Ronal, Michelle Yeoh as Dr. Karina Mogue, and Oona Chaplin as Varang, among others. The new film picks up where the prior one left off, with Sully and Neytiri expanding their family on Pandora’s planet while combating new dangers to its burgeoning civilization.

The second Avatar film, tentatively titled Avatar 2, will premiere on December 16th. Cameron originally intended 2014 as the release date, which was delayed seven times until this year’s date later this year.
“We combined the ‘2′ and ‘3’ shooting schedules together, based on the sorts of settings and environments.” Cameron said. “I said, let’s just treat it like it’s a six-hour miniseries and we’re only going to go to Frankfurt once. We’re going to shoot all the scenes from ‘2’ and ‘3’ at the same time. That was more or less the motif.”
The sequel, “Avatar 2,” was directed by Cameron, with executive producers Peter M. Tobyansen and David Valdes, as well as associate producer Brigitte Yorke. Josh Friedman wrote the screenplay for Avatar: The Way of Water.
