Fortnite xCloud support is now a reality

How to play Fortnite on iPhone?
The first free-to-play game to join Xbox Cloud Gaming is Fortnite. Microsoft says in order to play Fortnite on xCloud, all you need is a Microsoft account. Any device running on iOS, iPadOS, Android, or Windows can enjoy the game through the service which is available in 26 countries. You can also play the game on a web browser. They even support Valve’s Steam Deck portable.

Microsoft plans to consider comments in the short run, but it intends to expand free-to-play titles to the cloud. It has its game back in front of players who were previously prevented from playing because they couldn’t install it or just want to play when they’re away from their main gaming machine. By the Fortnite xCloud support is available on Android as well as iOS.

Xbox wants to expand cloud gaming services with its Fortnite xCloud support move

Microsoft’s blog post explains that many individuals are experimenting with cloud gaming, and that over 150 titles already offer touch control support to any developers who want to appeal to a wider audience. “At Xbox we want to make gaming accessible to the 3 billion players around the world, and cloud has an important role in that mission. Quite simply we want you to have more choice in both the games you play and the way you choose to play them.”
Why Epic Games have chosen Microsoft?
We learned during the Epic versus Apple trial that the companies had been talking for a long time, and that Epic deliberately chose not to release Fortnite on Xbox Cloud. “We viewed Microsoft’s efforts with xCloud to be competitive with our PC offerings,” told Joe Kreiner, Epic’s VP of business development. Nvidia isn’t taking away Fortnite’s cloud version from Epic just to give it to Microsoft, as far as we can tell. Nvidia GeForce Now director Phil Eisler stated that:
“We think that all video games should be playable on any device, and that today’s announcement is an exciting one for all gamers! We’re collaborating with Epic to bring Fortnite fully into GeForce NOW, streaming with GeForce performance, and touch controls.”
