A Spider-Man demo we’ve recently watched looks great thanks to Unreal Engine 5. A YouTube channel dwr posted an Unreal Engine 5 version of a prior Unreal Engine 4 project from Lewis Fiford in January 2020. With Unreal Engine 5’s default assets, dwr was able to set things up and put our hero through his paces in a full-fledged cityscape with help from the project itself.
Spider-man demo on Unreal Engine 5
The Matrix Awakens UE5 demo has been put to good use by tinkerers, and the Spider-Man demo is a great illustration of the engine’s flexibility and forward compatibility. There’s some jitteriness, especially when web-swinging and with impacts, but Spider-Man performs as you’d anticipate.
It hasn’t even been out for a month yet, but Unreal Engine 5 has already seen the debut of another superhero simulator. Someone produced a rudimentary Superman demo with flight and super strength just days after the character’s debut, but without Superman.
Unreal Engine 5 based games are coming
Many games based on Unreal Engine 5 are on the way. The new Tomb Raider, which will bring the new adventure of Lara Croft to the screen, is being developed with Unreal Engine 5. Also, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl, Kingdom Hearts 4 and Witcher 3 remakes will also be based on Unreal Engine.
Other games announced include Quantum Error, Redfall, Dreamhouse: The Game, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, and Echoes of the End.
By the way, if you want to learn how to get Charizard Mega Energy in Pokemon GO, we’ve got you covered.
