Pixy is a new product from Snap that is available to everyone and it comes with a selfie drone that will fly around and snap photographs for you. The firm is introducing a new method of taking a selfie rather than the usual use of the front camera, as well as extending one’s hands to capture the shot.

“Pixy is a companion to Snapchat. Videos from flights are wirelessly transferred and saved into Snapchat Memories. From there, use Snapchat’s editing tools, Lenses, and Sounds to customize what you capture. With a few taps, you can automatically crop into portrait and apply quick Smart Edits, like Hyperspeed, Bounce, Orbit 3D and Jump Cut. Then, share to Chat, Stories, Spotlight, or any other platform.”

The drone will hover over the person and take the picture for them. The gadget comes with several choices, similar to that of digital cameras and DSLRs on the market now.

Snapchat Pixy drone is designed with safety in mind, including four rotors to assist with flight, and it hovers roughly at a person’s eye level, so the device does not need as much power. The gadget is simple to use and doesn’t make a lot of noise when working.

It also has no licensing requirements for its usage. However, even if you’re not operating a drone like the Pixy in your state or location, you’ll have to adhere to local rules.

Where to buy the Snapchat Pixy drone: How much?

The tagline of Snap, which is a camera firm, explains why it offers a selfie drone on its market. The Pixy has its own dedicated website where consumers can place their preorders; according to the site, the pocket-sized drone will arrive in 11 to 12 weeks.

Snapchat Pixy drone is available for $229, while the Pixy Flight Pack includes the selfie drone, bumper, and lanyard carry bag as well as a dual battery charger and additional rechargeable battery.

As of publication, the selfie drone is only available in the United States and France.

Snapchat’s lofty stock price has helped it regain the top spot among social media networks in terms of daily active users (DAUs). Snapchat reports 319 million daily active users for the Q4 of 2021 and thus topped Facebook and Twitter for the last quarter, demonstrating that Snap had reclaimed the market. This was mentioned on Snap’s most recent earnings call for shareholders and the public.

The firm also encouraged the sharing of valuable information. The ASL, or learning American Sign Language in the app, is a recent feature addition for its Lens. It would be an excellent AR device that will allow individuals to practice how they sign language, particularly with regards to letters and offer assistance.

Snapchat’s recent strong quarter was a major turning point for the firm, reflecting its dominance in social media. The company will commemorate the fourth quarter with its brand-new selfie drone, which will follow users around and serve as their paparazzi, capturing photographs and immediately sending them to the app.
