iQOO Neo6 is out with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This makes it one of the most affordable models sporting a high-end processor, even though it has some downsides compared to flagship phones out there.
iQOO Neo6 specs
The iQOO Neo6 features a large 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1,200 Hz touch sampling rate. In particular, competitive games will benefit from the latter because it ensures quicker input and reliability while playing them. The phone has a centered punch-hole cutout for the 16MP front camera and you’ll find a triple camera arrangement on the back.
The rear camera has a primary 64MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization. There’s also a 12MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor.The phone comes out of the box with Origin OS Ocean, which is based on Android 12.
In terms of battery capacity, the phone has a 4,700 mAh battery and can charge at up to 80W via fast charging. The company claims that the charging takes you from 20% to 80% charged in only 19 minutes. That’s a strange way to advertise the charging technology. We believe it takes around 30 minutes from flat to full charge.
The phone’s CPU, as previously said, is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It has the best possible performance and a strong GPU that will handle demanding games with ease. There are three different variants of the phone:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage capacity.
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage capacity.
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage capacity.
iQOO Neo6 release date
Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding international release date. However, there are reports suggesting a debut in India with a different processor. We don’t know what route the company will take in other markets.
iQOO Neo6 price
In China, iQOO Neo6 will be available in Orange, Blue, and Black finishes. The entry-level model with 128 GB storage goes for CNY 2,799 ($440). The mid-range version is CNY 2,999 ($470). The top-of-the-line variant will be priced at CNY 3,299 ($518). Sales will begin on April 20.
