Star Wars Celebration 2022 is coming soon! Since 1999, the Lucasfilm/ReedPop agreement for Star Wars movies, TV shows, games, books, and other existing Star Wars material has been in effect. The Star Wars Celebration, which took place annually in the US and Europe, featured big announcements and trailers for future films as well as broadcast and gaming news from across the galaxy.
Lucasfilm canceled the convention when the full extent of the COVID-19 pandemic became apparent, and it was rescheduled for 2022 to give people time to recover. Now that The Rise of Skywalker has come to an end and with a slew of Star Wars films currently in production for both theatrical releases and Disney+, it’s time to start hinting at what’s next.
When is Star Wars Celebration 2022?
The Star Wars Celebration 2022 is scheduled to take place from May 26 through May 29 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Some seats for certain days are still accessible for purchase, although in prior years, live streams of major discussions have been accessible on the Star Wars YouTube channel throughout Celebration.
New Star Wars series, movies and comics
As Star Wars Celebration 2022 gets underway, the Obi-Wan Kenobi prequel series will premiere its first two published on Disney+. The Mandalorian’s third season is on the way, as is The Bad Batch’s second season, and there’s even more ahead for Disney’s streaming service in the next few years, including Ahsoka and Andor, as well as the less-close series such as Lando and the High Republic era tale The Acolyte.
Patty Jenkins’ new Rogue Squadron movie and Taika Waititi’s mysterious Star Wars project are on the horizon. In addition, surprise film projects may be announced at Star Wars Celebration 2022.
The comic project is now in its second stage, with novels and comics that will flash even further back into the history of the Star Wars timeline, pushing itself more than 350 years before the events of the movies.

Star Wars Celebration 2022 panels
The panel calendar of Star Wars Celebration 2022 is quite exciting.
Lucasfilm Showcase (Thursday, May 26): The TV series will also bridge the two eras, with stories from Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, and The Mandalorian—and perhaps more—toying with audiences’ expectations of what’s to come.
Mando+ (Saturday, May 28): Join executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for the first official The Mandalorian panel since the show debuted in late 2019, as they look back at the show so far, and hint at what’s next for Din Djarin and his young foundling Grogu in season three.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Sunday, May 29): The creators of Bad Batch, executive producers Brad Rau and Jen Corbett, story editor Matt Michnovetz, and clone voice actors Dee Bradley Baker (of course) and Michelle Ang (who’s the exception to that rule) talk about the show’s premiere date as well as what fans can expect for season two.
