Today we are going to explain what is Flunks NFT, its launch details, what do they look like and more.
The Flow Blockchain has been gaining a lot of new, and creative NFT projects lately, however we felt it was time to show another project called Flunks NFT. Since day one, we’ve been following this project and we’re delighted to share our thoughts on the Flunks NFT.
What is Flunks NFT?
The Flunks are a generative profile picture NFT project that will be minted to a maximum of 9,999 unique photos with over 292 unique traits & distinctions based on aesthetic & trait-based alterations. With over a dozen different aesthetically changing areas, each Flunks looks unique and new.

What’s the meaning behind it? The Flunks are a group of teenagers (Flunks High). They have been divided into factions, the Locker Room is where the Jocks congregate. In the computer lab, you’ll find the Geeks. The Preps are in the courtyard, and the Freaks are in the bleachers, they’ll be found over by the fence. Each Flunks NFT pfp will be dedicated to a clique, and it’s been hinted that these communities may be restricted to membership. The school colors are black and purple, and Flunks High is home to the astronauts!
What Flunks NFTs look like?
Consider if the Doodles were combined with CryptoPunks and made a little happier. These high schoolers are dressed in extravagantly distinctive outfits with vivid pastel backdrops, engaging accessories, and a color scheme that is notably dim.
Who is developing Flunks NFT?
The Flunks NFT team was formed by a group of four people from across Canada, who abandoned another Flow project known as KLKTN. Following personalities make up the team::

How to get Flunks NFTs?
The first 3,500 Flunks NFTs have already been distributed to early adopters who were able to pre-mint on March 28th. Only 2,100 of the 3,500 users who had access to the program before it closed were accurate with their wallet information, and only 2,010 Flunks were produced during the 24-hour pre-mint window. This indicates that there are still over 7,000 Flunks available for public minting. Each Hall Pass gave you the ability to produce two Flunks NFTs; however, in accordance with current rules, four may be created per transaction by the general public.
There’s still opportunity for new users to join in on the fun with Discord, which has over 7,000 active members (or “Misfits,” as they’re known) and counting. There’s not a particularly high barrier to enter too, $250 only.
The Dapper Wallet was chosen for the project, so minting couldn’t be easier if you’re a fan of Dapper Labs’ popular NBA Top Shot or NFL All Day. The users who get to mint throughout the public sale will have plenty of pfp’s since there is a maximum 4 Flunks per transaction.
Flunks NFT Roadmap
We are anticipating a new roadmap post-mint, with many initiatives coming down the pipe. Flunks holders can anticipate a plethora of new initiatives and new roadmap items, such as:
- a Yearly Pep Rally
- a Yearly School Dance
- a Locker Builder
- a School Mural
- a Metaverse Campus
- a Classroom Care Packages
The project’s roadmap has gone through several changes, but it appears that the dev team is getting ready to move into the 1.0 phase:
Airdrops
With two airdrops already planned, the Flunks team has placed an emphasis on ensuring airdrops will be provided to holders. The first airdrop of note is a backpack airdrop, in which holders will be rewarded with a backpack of varying rarity. There is also a note about customizability for your backpacks, which pertains to the second airdrop.
The second airdrop takes customization to the next level, providing pins and keychains that you can use to personalize your backpack. These extra NFTs will be limited edition, although they will be sold in a pack format at a later date.
School Clubs
For Flunks NFT collectors, clubs are a crucial stage of the collecting trip. A yearly budget will be provided to school clubs, who will select leadership positions to vote on collaboration choices, budget allocation, and event planning. There are no specific dates or deadlines yet, but this is the first time the project has been mentioned in their roadmap, suggesting that it’s highly valuable.
Merchandise
The Flunks NFT team will be releasing merchandise drops for items like jogging pants, hoodies, skateboards, and stationary IRL items at a later date, much like many other popular NFT projects.
Charity
The Flunks are holding a food drive in order to contribute to schools and food banks. Students at schools can make their own unique custom canned NFTs and auction them off, with the proceeds going to the intended causes.
