Elon Musk buys Twitter and starts working. Twitter Chief Executive Officer Parag Agrawal has agreed to a poll posted by Tesla Inc. chief Elon Musk, his firm’s major investor, by referring to it as significant and urging users to “vote carefully.”
Elon Musk confirmed that he had purchased a 9.2% passive stake in Twitter this week. His recent postings on the service, where he has more than 80 million followers and has filled the void left by Donald Trump as one of the world’s most influential personalities, have actively criticized perceived flaws. On Monday, Musk asked his followers if they wanted an edit button on Twitter, with misspelled “Yes” and “No” choices in his usual humorously informal tone.

Elon Musk buys Twitter and immediately starts working: Edit button
After the poll, Agrawal retweeted it and quoted tweets that Musk had used in a previous post regarding Twitter’s protection of free speech principles: “the results of this poll will be crucial.” While the Twitter CEO may have been gently mocking Musk’s question, the action shows he is monitoring the Tesla and SpaceX leader’s account.

On April 1, the Twitter account posted a note stating, “We’re working on an edit button,” which might have been intended as an April Fool’s joke; nevertheless, it gathered over 1.3 million likes, suggesting that such a tool is wanted.
After the Tesla owner tweeted his dissatisfaction that he couldn’t edit errors in his published tweets or repair incorrect viral tweets, Twitter users have been asking for the option to modify postings after they’ve been published. Late on Monday, Musk’s poll had over 1.5 million votes, with 75 percent favoring “yse” and 25 percent choosing “on.”
