What is fan token?
Football clubs make use of a type of cryptocurrency known as fan tokens to allow supporters to vote on minor issues regarding their clubs. The coins have been criticized by some supporters groups because, while they are becoming increasingly appealing to clubs, they give little substance in terms of actual participation and add more financial pressure on football fans.
