After a month, League of Legends patch 12.6 is now on the verge of release, following Riot’s break this month. Here are all the buffs, nerfs, and changes we can expect with the update, as well as how to prepare for them.
League of legends patch schedule
Riot Games announced that they’d be on a break for one month after patch 12.5, which means patch 12.6 will soon be available to play on live servers. Because patches 12.5 and 12.5b were modest updates released to fix issues of damage control, we could anticipate that League of Legends patch 12.6 would be a bigger update, and it won’t disappoint.

League of Legends patch 12.6 changes
Riot Games are aiming to improve the following League of Legends characters with buffs in patch 12.6:
- Azir
- Darius
- Jax
- Nidalee
Aside from Jax, these champions needed just a little more help to break into the meta. Riot’s increased base health and greater base damage for Jax will almost certainly send him straight to the top of the top lane meta.
In addition to the buffs, Riot is nerfing two champions in League of Legends patch 12.6:
- Tryndamere
- Hecarim
With Tryndamere and Hecarim ruling their roles and Tryndamere even taking on the mid-lane role, it was high time that Riot made adjustments and shook up the meta.
In addition, Rengar is getting an adjustment in patch 12.6 that is more of a buff than anything else. While his quality of life has decreased, forcing new players to focus on learning his mechanics thoroughly, it will be a welcome change for those players who pick Rengar. His Q ability now always counts as a critical strike, which means his damage is going up significantly.
When is the next League of Legends patch?
The next League of Legends patch which is likely to be called League of Legends patch 12.6 will be out at the end of this month.
