What is Nvidia Omniverse? Nvidia has announced Omniverse Cloud at GTC 2022, a collection of cloud solutions that allow artists, creators, designers, and developers to access the Nvidia Omniverse platform for 3D design collaboration and simulation from any device, anywhere.
Nucleus Cloud, a one-click-to-collaborate sharing software, is included in Omniverse Cloud’s suite of services. It allows artists to access and modify huge 3D scenes from anywhere without having to exchange massive data files. Omniverse Create, an app for technical designers, artists, and creators to create 3D worlds in real time; and View, an app for non-technical users that streams full Omniverse scenes with Nvidia GeForce Now technology, powered by Nvidia RTX GPUs in the cloud. Users will be able to stream, create, view, and collaborate with other Omniverse customers regardless of the device on which they access GeForce Now.
What is Nvidia Omniverse?
“A new wave of work is coming that can only be done in virtual worlds. Omniverse Cloud will connect tens of millions of designers and creators, and billions of future AIs and robotic systems.”
-Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia
Using Omniverse Cloud, creators may develop, share, and collaborate on models stored in Nucleus Cloud from any place. Users or teams without high-end GeForce or Nvidia RTX systems — or the desire to set up IT infrastructure – can use the full capabilities of Omniverse Create and View by subscribing to the Omniverse Cloud program.
During his keynote at Nvidia GTC, Huang showed a demo of the future of design, which included three human designers and one expert Omniverse Avatar AI designer working virtually in Omniverse Cloud to make modifications to an architectural project.
The team gathered in Nucleus Cloud to discuss using a typical web conferencing tool. One person used the Omniverse View program on their RTX-powered desktop, while the others streamed it from GeForce Now to their laptop and tablet.
