Tekken Bloodline Netflix trailer revealed. Netflix has revealed another original anime series in its growing library of original anime programs. Later this year, it’ll release Tekken: Bloodline, with a one-and-a-half-minute “official teaser” trailer revealing the series. There’s no word on a release date or episode count just yet, but the summary states that Jin Kazama, who debuted in Tekken 3 as a playable character, will be featured.
The Tekken series, which has seen sales of more than 50 million copies, has only had a few tries at adapting the narrative for films or television. Those efforts were unsuccessful in preserving the bulk of what made the original game so appealing, resulting in one of 43 movies on Rotten Tomatoes earning a zero percent rating based on reviews from critics. “The producers/directors of the Tekken games, Katsuhiro Harada, tweeted that it was bad, stating, ‘We were unable to supervise that film; it was a harsh contract. I’m not interested in that production.’”
