The release date for Sniper Elite 5, the third-person stealth game from British developer Rebellion Developments, has been set. On May 26, 2022, the game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and Windows Store).
Sniper Elite 5 will be out on May 26
In Sniper Elite V, you’ll take on the persona of Karl Fairburne again in the game series and this time you’ll go to France where you’ll have to figure out what happened during Operation Kraken of the Nazis. In Sniper Elite III, the game was set in Africa, whereas Sniper Elite 4 took place in Italy during World War Two.
The kill cam has been enhanced in this edition. Various traversal options have also been added to provide more variety to the gameplay. Ziplines, for example, may be utilized in the maps. You can also slide down hill and shimmy along ledges while sliding down slopes. The gunplay physics take into account several elements of the rifle, including gravity, wind direction, and your heart rate, all of which impact your sniping.
Sniper Elite 5 gets a new game mode called “Invasion Mode”
In co-op play, the developers have introduced a new game mode in which “the invading Axis Sniper will have the sole aim to eliminate the player while the Allied Sniper will gain an extra objective: take out the invader.”
In this mode, the Axis invader may employ the AI Axis force to discover where the Allied player is. The sniper on the Axis side can also urge his troops to “Stay Sharp,” which will improve their awareness. If you’re a successful Axis sniper, you’ll gain weapons, objects, and skin unlocks as prizes.
The Axis sniper’s last known position may be determined by using the invasion phones strewn about the map. However, the Allied sniper will have to employ this resource intelligently since these phones might be booby-trapped and overuse can reveal your position. If you are an Allied sniper and manage to eliminate your opponent, you will get weapon and character skins as a reward.
