We gathered Overwatch 2 system requirements for you. Before you join the beta for Blizzard’s long-awaited sequel to its hero shooter, you should understand what system requirements are necessary. The good news is that you won’t need to upgrade your gaming CPU, but the bad news is that Intel’s integrated GPU will probably be insufficient in this game.
Along with describing the features, Naeemi revealed that the sequel is more demanding than its predecessor. It’s 67 percent larger, requiring 50GB of storage rather than 30GB; increases the amount of gaming RAM you’ll need to run it; makes previous recommended graphics card requirements the bare minimum, and suggests an Intel i7 CPU over a gaming-focused i5.

However, it still has a low barrier to entry. It has the same minimal CPU requirements as the original; there is no requirement for 16GB of RAM in today’s world; and you won’t need a ray-tracing capable graphics card to join in the fun. It also doesn’t recommend an SSD, but you’ll almost certainly outperform your performance with one.

After a round of testing with employees and pros, the Overwatch 2 beta begins in April. It’ll focus on the reduced 5v5 competitive element, so you won’t see the decoupled PvE side until after the release date for Overwatch 2 swings around, which we hope will be this year.
The beta will be exclusive to PC gamers, and Blizzard is being picky about who gets in, so don’t despair if you don’t get selected right away. It’ll eventually follow up with an open beta that will be available on all platforms.
