How does Weapon Scaling work in Elden Ring?
If you’re confused about how weapon scaling works in the game, don’t worry because we are going to help you out.
We’ll go through the entire procedure for how scaling works in this section. To discover everything in detail, follow the instructions below step by step.
We’ll use Uchigatana’s stats as an example in order to explain everything easier.
The stats for this weapon are 115 + 18 attack power. 115 damage indicates the amount of damage that this item can do and it is unchangeable, as it doesn’t rely on any other factors.
The attribute boosts are only available through an upgrade, i.e., anvil or blacksmith, and can’t be changed. The +18 bonus is linked to the Attributes that we have.
Weapon scaling and attributes
The attributing scaling section is located next to the attack power, and D-Grade scaling for both Strength and Dexterity is available there. When you’re attacking with a weapon, the damage of your strike will be determined by Strength and Dexterity.
Scaling helps us to increase the damage that these qualities will cause by going to Sites of Grace. This implies that Uchigatana will be modified in some respects.
It may, for example, transform a D-grade Dexterity into a C-grade Dexterity. As a result of scaling, therefore, the damage caused by Dexterity increases.
While there are no huge changes to the damage totals, higher weapon levels will improve your power thanks to scaling. When you upgrade the weapon the damage will increase from +18 to +20.
To create a big impact, simply keep leveling up the attribute. Keep in mind that you should alter the scaling based on your gameplay. If you’re focusing on Strength, for example, scale the weapon to A grade strength. This will make a big difference.
