Best Lost Ark Deathblade build
The Deathblade’s combat skillset is made up of three swords, but you won’t be in command of manually switching between them like you would with the Gunner classes. Instead, the Death Orb serves as the Deathblade’s identity skill and main strength.
The Deathblade comes with three Death Orbs, which re-charge during combat. When a Death Orb is activated, the Deathblade Arts skill effect occurs, as follows:
- All skills have their cooldown timers reduced.
- Movement speed, attack speed, and attack power will be increased.
- Sends a powerful burst attack that can do a tremendous amount of damage.
A Death Orb has a 10-second base duration; but if you want to activate many orbs at the same time, all of the effects (except for increased movement speed) accumulate for the whole duration.
Lost Ark Deathblade is a great class to play because she’s really entertaining. If you value micromanagement during battle, the lack of manual weapon changing may appear as a disadvantage, but the fact that other elements influence weapon selection allows you to simply enjoy some epic combat.
However, her base attack power when not under the influence of Death Orb is rather low. Her fast attack speed and short cooldowns are great though in order to make up for her PvE disadvantages.
Lost Ark Deathblade skills
Lost Ark Deathblade’s standard abilities are mostly focused on offensive assaults. The skill selection is your chance to specialize in one weapon type or the other.
By the time you’ve reached Level 50, you’ll have 250 skill points, which is enough to construct a balanced normal skill build to take your character into endgame. We recommend specializing in a few skills and investing all of your resources into their enhancements for the Deathblade:

Characters in The Lost Ark begin with a decent selection of early-game abilities, and new skills are unlocked frequently as you go through the first 20 or so character levels. XP and level progression give you skill points that may be spent on enhancing skill levels and unlocking “tripods.” Tripods are upgrades to skills that become available at skill levels 4, 7, and 10. There are three different options for each tripod.
Lost Ark Deathblade engravings
You may apply Engravings to your characters once they reach Level 50 in Lost Ark. Engravings allow you to customize your character’s kit with various buffs and boosts. Every class has two “class bonus” engravings that are unique to them, in addition to generic engravings available to all Characters. These effectively let you choose a subclass for them.
Deathblade engravings are called Remaining Energy and Surge and they offer different advantages:
- The Deathblade Arts triggered by a Death Orb are extended by the Remaining Energy, which effectively adds two seconds to the duration of each. As with this advantage, the metre does not begin to drain until two seconds after deploying when using the Deathblade Arts burst assault. Furthermore, performing a burst attack of the Deathblade Arts provides another 30 second boost to movement speed, attack speed, and damage.
- When your Deathblade’s Arts are active, it gives a stack of Surge Enhancement each time it lands a hit with any attack (except for default attacks and Awakening skills), up to a maximum of 20 stacks. Each stack adds 7.5% extra outgoing damage. At the end of each Deathblade Arts, the Death Orb will be refilled by Surge Enchancement at a 5% rate.
Although both are excellent alternatives, with the misleading complexity of Surge and the outstanding PvE advantages provided by Remaining Energy, most players choose to go with the latter.
The number of engravings you may have is determined by the number of engraving slots available. Bonus marks for your class are unlocked when you collect Learned Engraving Slots, which you get by reading books while on your travels in Arkesia.
Meanwhile, all classes may equip two of the three “generic” engraving types, which are determined by the amount of engraving points you have. Your number of engraving points is determined by a mix of your character’s equipped goods and Ability stones that can be obtained as loot or purchased from traders throughout the game. Shuffle your loadout until you’ve reached 35 engravings points and should be able to fit three generic engravings in addition to your class advantage.
The following engravings supplement a Deathblade skill particularly well:
- Master of Ambush: Base damage is increased by up to 25%. This is a popular choice for players who were dissatisfied with the Assassin character classes’ low base damage.
- Super Charge increases the speed at which charged skills are charged by up to 40%, making it a great choice for engraving on the Deathblade, whose most powerful abilities need to be charged. Also increases damage by 20%.
- Grudge, on the other hand, provides a 20% damage boost when fighting Boss-level or higher monsters and a 20% reduction in their incoming assaults.
Lost Ark Deathblade awakening skills
Level 50 is the level where Awakening Skills are unlocked in Lost Ark. There are two alternatives to pick from, and unlike with engravings you have the ability to unlock both Awakening Skills if you want, but you can only equip one at a time.
The Awakening skills for the Deathblade are:
- Blade Assault: While moving forward and pulling in opponents, this ability deals damage in a straight line. If you complete the QTE correctly, you’ll target your foes with throwing knives to deal even more damage, flinging them away and propelling them into the air.
- Flash Blink: With this spell you character slashes all three swords forward 12 meters while thrusting twice, dealing damage and sending opponents flying into the air.
Both of these Awakening skills are so excellent that it’s difficult to decide which one to keep equipped by default. However, Blade Assault is a little more focused on PvP, while Flash Blink is a better option for PvE.
