To keep it simple, we’ll go through the mechanics of each boss encounter in the dungeon and some general hints and tricks to make your battle easier. So if you want to know how to defeat the Phantom Legion King in particular, there’s no need to panic because we’re here for you.
Lost Ark Abyss Dungeon guide: Rook and Bishop
This fight is relatively straightforward. There are two bosses. Defeating one of the bosses before the other will send whichever boss is left into berserk mode. There’s also one other mechanic you need to be aware of.
This is a very simple fight. There are two bosses to defeat. Beating one of the bosses before the other will put the remaining boss into berserk mode though.
First stage
- A target is shown over the head of a random player.
- The player with the mark must keep an eye on the Bishop as he fires an exploding shot at the targeted player.
- The player must position themselves between the Bishop and the Rook to ensure that the boss is hit by the explosion.
Second stage
In a second stage, the mechanics are repeated, with the boss spawning a circle of defensive chess pieces around itself.
- You must destroy the pieces first. These protect the boss and make it harder to land the shot correctly.
Make sure to destroy the chess pieces because these serve as a barrier between the boss and the player and make it more difficult to strike the target properly.
- Players who are not given a target will be encircled. Do not walk into other players or the player performing the targeting mechanics.
Lost Ark Abyss Dungeon guide: Phantom Legion King
There are two major components to this challenge: stagger checks and a spinning sword mechanism that will result in a wipe if you don’t perform it correctly. This is a difficult boss, so don’t be concerned if you die several times.
First stage
When the Phantom King creates an orange barrier around himself, save your staggering abilities.
Second stage
This stage, on the other hand, is not simple. The boss will begin this period on health bar number 15 and will enter in a Stagger check phase.
- It’s critical that you remove this Stagger as soon as possible. If you don’t have enough Stagger damage, the Whirlwind Grenades are an excellent choice.
- The boss then shoots out several slowly moving swords that chase the player. Players must walk into the swords in order to remove the debuff.
- The best approach to do this in a game with randoms is to utilize the numbers on the left-hand side of your screen. Rotate through by order of the numbers, approaching each sword one at a time.
- Make sure your debuff is removed before picking up another sword.
- Keep a short gap in between, and count 1-2-3 when the swords are gathered. Keep an eye on your debuff bar to check on the debuff.
