All of the major social media platforms introduced new tools and insights to help fans and businesses interact with the event for Super Bowl 2022.
The Super Bowl has emerged as a major topic for businesses on social media, with popular tie-ins providing the chance to reach large, interested audiences. While users are always searching for methods to join in the celebration, even when they can’t physically be there – which has been particularly true in recent years owing to many COVID-19 restrictions.

Meta Super Bowl 2022
This year’s main Super Bowl theme for ‘Meta’ will be digital clothing for its recently updated 3D avatars, which may now be utilized on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram Stories. For an extra metaverse-aligned pep, Meta will also host a free Foo Fighters concert immediately following the big game, which will be streamed on Facebook and Instagram, as well as broadcast in Horizon Venues in VR, a sort of preview of the next stage of digital concert experiences.
Twitter Super Bowl 2022
As is typical for most major tournaments, Twitter has implemented hashflags – or hashtags symbolized by emoji – for both teams and #SBLVI.

On top of that, it’s sharing selected Super Bowl tweets from its users directly to the rooftop LED screen at SoFi Stadium.

Finally, Twitter will also host its “Brand Bowl” event for the fourth time, which will give the most talked about Super Bowl brand campaigns in a variety of categories based on tweet activity.

Snapchat Super Bowl 2022
Snapchat is planning three special Discover shows from the NFL in the run-up to the match, as well as a National World Lens inspired by the league’s National TV ad that will play during halftime.
Users of the NFL One Pass app will be able to unlock a unique AR experience in addition.

YouTube Super Bowl 2022
This year’s AdBlitz showcase will be held once again, with viewers able to view the Super Bowl commercials before, during, and after the game.
