Today we are going to list some of the most interesting free games that you can play on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in February 2022.
It might be difficult to keep track of everything, which is why we’ve put up this handy list of all the free games currently accessible. Of course, it’s worth noting that several of these “free” games are actually incentives for signing up for subscription services that aren’t free.
This list is solely concerned with video games that are usually paid but have been made available for free as part of a promotional or subscription perk. There are numerous free-to-play games that aren’t covered here, such as those that may be played for no cost and can generally be enjoyed without spending money on upgrades.
However, we believe that the free games available for download on consoles and PCs are worth a look.
PS5 and PS4: Free Playstation Plus games
Every month, PlayStation Plus members get some free games to pick from.
You may purchase these games and add them to your library where you may download them at any time in the future.
But, if you ever renew your membership, all of the PS Plus games that you’ve claimed in the past will be reinstated.
Free PlayStation Plus games – February 2022:
- Planet Coaster: Console Edition (PS5)
- UFC 4 (PS4)
- Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure (PS4)
Xbox: Free Xbox Live Gold games
You can get a free game every month if you have an Xbox Live Gold membership (or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, which includes Gold). These games may be ‘bought,’ meaning you can add them to your collection and download them at any time.
You may continue to play any Xbox 360 games that are part of Games With Gold even if you cancel your membership.
If you own an Xbox One or the Xbox Series X/S, you must be a subscriber to play “Games With Gold” titles. You won’t be able to play them if you ever cancel your subscription.
Free Xbox Live Gold games – February 2022:
- Aground (Xbox One) – until February 15
- Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse (Xbox One) – until February 28
- Hydrophobia (Xbox 360) – until February 15
Never Yield and Band of Bugs will also be released on February 16.
Xbox: Free Play Days
This weekend, Xbox’s regular “Free Play Days” event will be active, allowing Xbox Live Gold and Ultimate members to try out the following games for free:
- Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- Bad North: Jotunn Edition
- Greak: Memories of Azur
After the Free Play Days have passed, the games will no longer be available to play unless you purchase them.
PC: Free EPIC GAMES STORE titles
The Epic Games Store offers a free game every week, with the game changing on Thursdays, apart from special occasions like Christmas.
Right now, gamers can enjoy Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair from Playtonic Games for free.
Until 11 am ET/4 pm GMT on February 10, you’ll be able to claim this for free. It will then be taken away by Windbound.
To play these games, you must first register for an Epic Games account. Then you can “purchase” the games for free and add them to your Epic Games Store collection.
PC: Free Amazon Prime Gaming titles
Prime Gaming is a subscription program that gives Amazon Prime members free PC games to keep and unique in-game extras every month. It’s included as part of an Amazon Prime membership.
These are either claimed and added to an Amazon game library, which needs its own specialized launcher, or they can be claimed by linking to another online store such as the Epic Games Store, GOG.com, or EA Origin.
Even if you cancel your Amazon Prime membership, the games will be yours to keep.
Free Amazon Prime Gaming titles – February 2022:
- Ashwalkers: A Survival Journey
- As Far as the Eye
- Double Kick Heroes
- Golazo! Soccer League
- Stellaris (GOG.com)
- World War Z: Aftermath (Epic Games Store)
