Manchester United is about to announce a collaboration with blockchain technology Tezos, and they will debut a new multi-year sponsorship of their training gear as a result. TSG Hoffenheim is no exception, Baby Doge will become an official partner of the German football club.
According to The Athletic, the contract is worth more than $27 million per year, allowing Tezos to have its logo on the team’s workout gear and filming promotional content has been finished by Man Utd.
Manchester United to collaborate with Tezos blockchain
In May 2021, RedBull racing named Tezos its official blockchain partner, announcing that it would invest heavily in the sport. Tezos also has plans to offer its first NFT fan experience project, which was started in November.
A similar announcement by McLaren Racing a month later saw Tezos as its Official Technical Partner in a multi-year deal across its Formula 1, INDYCAR and esports teams, and the Tezos network was used in the launch of McLaren’s NFT collection in October 2021.
In 2020, Tezos was named the official technical partner for McLaren Racing and all of its Formula 1, INDYCAR and esports teams. McLaren also used the blockhain network in order to launch its NFT collection last year.
The English Premier League is the top level of professional football in England, which is known as the EPL (English Premier League). Manchester United now joins the trend by launching sponsorship or fan token agreements, just like some of the other teams from EPL.
In August 2021, Dogecoin partnered with Watford Football Club as its shirt sleeve sponsor for the 2021-22 season, and players displayed the coins’ famous meme logo on their arms. Manchester City, Arsenal, and Wolves have all released fan tokens on different platforms such as Bitci and Socios.
Baby Doge teams up with TSG Hoffenheim
Meanwhile, Doge and Shiba Inu-inspired meme currency, Baby Doge Coin ($BABYDOGE), has announced that it has come to an agreement with German professional football club TSG Hoffenheim.
In a news release, Hoffenheim announced that Baby Doge will become an official partner of the team, working on the expansion of the club’s own NFT collection.
Denni Strich, the CEO of Hoffenheim stated that: “TSG Hoffenheim are happy to be working together with such an innovative and leading brand like Baby Doge. We are excited and looking forward to a successful partnership, where we’ll bring an NFT collection from the club and other exciting projects to life.”
The agreement would expand Dogecoin’s presence in the global market and the European Union, and it would continue to develop strategic partnerships to broaden its influence as a community-oriented project by establishing itself as a competitor in the sports world, according to Project Manager for Baby Doge, Mike Watson.
