Vitalik Buterin confirms he’s assisting Dogecoin’s Proof-of-Stake transition. The network is gaining more popularity among prominent virtual currencies, with each day bringing forth a growing number of PoS coins.
According to Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, every major cryptocurrency now has a plan to move to PoS, with Dogecoin (DOGE) also intending to convert to a Proof-of-Stake network via community staking.

The Ethereum founder said:
“Every major cryptocurrency except for one has an active plan to switch to Proof-of-Stake. I guess the arguments will be even easier to make once you know Ethereum is Proof-of-Stake and once you know Dogecoin’s plans are further along and Zcash plans further along.”
He also mentioned a proposal published on Christmas day last year, which suggested an approach to deploy the DOGE proposal for a ‘Community Staking’ version of PoS that would allow more people to participate in the Dogecoin network’s administration.
“They recently released something, the Dogecoin Foundation in collaboration with Vitalik Buterin to create community staking, it got published last year at Christmas.”
