WhatsApp is currently in the process of distributing a new beta version to iOS users and it will offer a new reaction notifications feature.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has released a new update through the TestFlight beta Program with the 2.22.2.72 version number. The report goes on to say that, with the most recent beta upgrade, WhatsApp is allowing users to control reaction notifications.
WhatsApp will offer reaction notifications for iOS
The popular chat application will include a message reaction feature similar to that of Messenger and Instagram. It is possible to react to messages with emojis on these platforms.
The platform is now incorporating a feature that will allow iOS users to be notified when someone reacts to their message, with the most recent update.
The screenshot shared by WABetainfo reveals that a new option called “Reaction Notifications” will be accessible to iOS users who are members of the WhatsApp beta program under the notification settings section. The company is currently developing the feature, and it has not yet been made available to users. Similar tools have previously been observed on multiple platforms, suggesting that the company will soon roll out the reaction notifications.
WhatsApp is also working on a redesigned version of Group notifications on iOS.
