Apple announced some new features for its Fitness+ subscription service. According to the company, the changes are designed to encourage individuals to achieve their fitness objectives.
New Apple Fitness+ features are here
From now on there will be new features called Time to Run, Artist Spotlight and Time to Walk included in the service. Apple is also introducing “Collections.” These are a selection of exercises and meditations from the library that may be used to help customers reach their fitness objectives.
Apple said that: “Collections will provide users with an entirely new way to get motivated as they begin their next workout or meditation. Collections will include a suggested plan to help users make intentional training choices over the next several days or weeks.”
There are six collections in total that are available to users:
- 30-Day Core Challenge
- Improve Your Posture with Pilates
- Perfect Your Yoga Balance Poses
- Run Your First 5K
- Strengthen and Stretch Your Back and Hips
- Wind Down for a Better Bedtime
The Time to Run and Time to Walk features will be available for the first time in three cities: London, Brooklyn, and Miami Beach. Audio instructions will be included in the service together with tips, images, and music.
To access these features, users will need an Apple Watch and AirPods or any other Bluetooth headphones. Users will be able to access new episodes through the Workout app on Apple Watch with a Fitness+ subscription.

Apple has also added a new Artist Spotlight feature, which allows customers to select from a variety of music libraries to help them get through the workout.
