Instagram is experimenting with a new feature that would let users rearrange their profile picture grid, re-formatting previously uploaded pictures in any arrangement they choose.

The new ‘Edit Grid’ option, as shown in this example by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, would be visible on your profile settings page, allowing you to rearrange your profile photo gallery as you choose, regardless of when each was uploaded.
Instagram’s working on some new features: Edit Grid, pinned post, and more
This might be an intriguing idea, providing another option for putting specific attention on the IG articles you want to show your visitors.
Finally, Instagram’s chief Adam Mosseri said in a recent interview that the platform may include a “pinned post” feature for users, which would allow them to choose certain postings they’d want to appear at the top of their grids.
The capacity to completely rearrange your postings’ order takes it one step further, and we’ll see whether Instagram ultimately implements it, given the platform’s long-standing ordering and presentation approach.
Another element has to do with profile display, and Instagram is more open to trying out new concepts as it moves toward an entirely new focus displays ultimately.
There’s no news on whether this will be released, as well as post tagging, but it does appear that Instagram will try things out in the near future. This might make it simpler to highlight your greatest material – and as social media expert Matt Navarra points out, if you produce multi-post, linking photographs for your process, this may be an excellent way to enhance it.
Brands who like to make a clever instagram grid image from individual feed posts on a profile…
