The name of Sony’s next VR headset has been revealed at CES 2022: it’ll be called PlayStation VR2. As part of Sony’s CES 2022 presentation, CEO Jim Ryan debuted the name in a way that was similar to two years ago, when the PS5 logo was first revealed on stage in Las Vegas amid much excitement.
CES 2022: PlayStation VR2 is on its way
Sony has yet to show the headset itself, but we already know a lot about its technical specs. Sony’s PlayStation VR2 will surely work with the PS5, and Sony previously unveiled the controllers -called Sense- back in March.
The headset has 4K HDR, 90/120Hz frame rates, haptic feedback, eye tracking, foveated rendering, and a 110° field of view and is compatible with the PS5 via a single USB-C connection.

Also, Jim Ryan announced at CES 2022 that the first big exclusive PlayStation VR2 title will be Horizon Call of the Mountain. You can watch the game’s trailer below:
