The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has just been introduced at Nvidia’s CES 2022 announcement and today we are going to talk about its expected specs, price and release date.

CES 2022: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is official

Jeff Fisher, Nvidia’s SVP, said that we’ll have to wait a little bit more until the end of January 2022 for more details. We’ve scoured the internet and compiled as many leaks, news, and rumors about the new GeForce RTX 3090 Ti as possible.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti specs and price

According to rumors, the RTX 3090 and the upcoming RTX 3090 Ti feature two significant distinctions. The 3090 Ti’s GA102 GPU has 10,752 CUDA cores compared to the baseline RTX 3090’s 10,496.

It will also have a different board design and memory layout, with 12 2GB modules instead of 24 1GB modules. The company confirmed at CES 2022 that the RTX 3090’s VRAM runs at about 19.5Gbps, whereas the memory speed on the faster Micron VRAM in the RTX 3090 Ti roughly runs at 21Gbps.

This may help the card’s memory bandwidth exceed 1TB/s, besting the RTX 3090’s 936GB/s. It is also confirmed that RTX 3090 Ti will come with a 24GB GDDR6X memory. This is the equivalent of the RTX 3090, but with greater bandwidth.

Nvidia confirmed at CES 2022 that the RTX 3090’s VRAM runs at about 19.5Gbps.

Increasing the bandwidth for memory transfers into VRAM allows higher resolution textures to load faster, allowing for faster frame rendering. The GPU’s TDP will be the only other significant distinction. The RTX 3090 Ti’s TDP may be as high as 450W, which is 100W greater than that of the RTX 3090. On the other hand, we might see a new power connector and perhaps even PCIe 5.0 usage on RTX 3090 Ti, which will result in even higher performance.

At CES 2022, Fisher also declared that the RTX 3090 Ti will have 40 shader teraflops, 78 RT teraflops, and 320 tensor teraflops. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is set to be the most powerful consumer graphics card when it debuts, it’s very probable that it will be very expensive. We expect it to be sold for around $2,000.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti release date

Lately, we’ve shared a leaked MSI document indicating that Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti might be launched on January 27, but it is still a rumor.

We haven’t been able to learn a lot of things about the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti during the coverage at CES 2022 and the official release date is still up in the air. There are some rumors going around that suggest a release might be closer than we think.
