GIF backgrounds
There is a new GIF option within TikTok’s Green Screen tool offering users a lot of choices from the GIPHY GIFs library:
“Whether looking for the perfect reaction GIF or showcasing an iconic meme, GIPHY in Green Screen unlocks exciting new opportunities for creativity and storytelling.”
It’s very interesting to see GIPHY partnering with TikTok on this project because Meta (Facebook), a direct rival of TikTok, has acquired the platform last year.
Visual enhancement
TikTok has also added a new “Visual Enhancement” button that will reduce the effects of over-exposure, low-light:
“Whether uploading from your camera roll or shooting directly from TikTok, video enhancement helps save time fine-tuning video edits before publishing.”
This will help improve the appearance of your videos without you needing to make manual edits. You can toggle visual enhancements on and off from the right side function panel.
Voice effects
TikTok is also bringing more creative sound effects to its platform, you can use this tool by tapping the “Voice Effects” button located on the right side function panel, after creating your video.
“We’re putting state-of-the-art music synthesis tools in the hands of all TikTok users. But wait, what does that even mean? With our latest update, people can make any sound or voice from their videos sound like an animal or musical instrument.”
Last month, TikTok offered new text-to-speech voices featuring different characters from the Disney universe such as C-3PO, Chewbacca from Star Wars and Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy.
High-quality uploads
TikTok is enabling higher-quality video uploads in some regions. Users will be able to upload videos to the platform in 1080 HD.
If you’re a video artist or someone looking to maximize the look of your videos, that’ll be a big addition for you.
