As analyst Jeff Pu previously said, Apple plans to release four iPhone 14 models in September 2022, including the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
iPhone 14 Pro rumors
In a research note conducted by Haitong International Securities, Pu stated that the two Pro models will be equipped with an upgraded 48-megapixel wide lens and a three-lens rear camera system with 12-megapixel ultra-wide telephoto lenses. This coincides with the information shared by TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in April, who claimed that a 48-megapixel lens would support 8K video recording.
While Pu expects iPhone 14 Pro, various models can be equipped with 8GB RAM, for iPhone 13 Pro – 6 GB models. While this rumor may seem reasonable, some other features of the iPhone 14 rated by Pu seem much less likely, such as the claim that all four iPhone 14 models will have a 120Hz display.
According to the report, the standard iPhone 14 models will start with 64GB storage, even though the iPhone 13 series starts with 128GB storage.
Pu’s history is mixed
Pu has a mixed history of rumors about Apple. For example, he correctly claimed that 16-inch MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models with mini-LED displays would enter the market in 2021, but was wrong about HomePods with 3D detection cameras released in 2019.
