Google is planning to offer its global workforce a $1,600 (or its equivalent) bonus to employees worldwide to be able to help them against the difficulties owing to the COVID-19 pandemic according to a Reuters report.

Everyone at Google, including interns and members are eligible for the bonus and the report says it will be distributed at the end of the year.
The search-engine giant has delayed its return to the office for now over concerns about the omicron variant and mandatory vaccinations. Otherwise, Google workers were expected to return to their workplaces on January 10th.
Google has rolled out a new set of pandemic measures. This comes in addition to the company’s work-from-home allowance and wellness bonus according to the report.
