Samsung has announced the availability of a new Galaxy Watch software that incorporates functions from its newest Watch 4 model to four older smartwatches, according to Sammobile. The new software update, version 10.0, will be applied to the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active 2, and Galaxy Watch 3 in the near future. Owners of these Samsung smartwatches will use them.
Samsung has added more levels of sensitivity to the Galaxy Watch 4’s fall detection feature, allowing it to be activated even if you’re motionless. It will also notify your pre-approved contacts with an SOS signal. The new version is now available on the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch Active 2, but not on prior Samsung smartwatches.
Galaxy Watch 4 features are available today in the United States and Korea
The Galaxy Watch 4’s newest features, however, will be available to all owners of any of the four watches; including 10 new watch faces initially made available with the Galaxy Watch 4. Other features include a new group challenge in the Work Out with Friends feature as well as more accurate health monitoring. The upgrade is available today in the United States and Korea, with other countries to follow.
